I was curious to know what kind of mana pool and/or FT one must have to reliably quad in PoP.

The zone I'd like to focus on would be HoH as that seems to be the most "druid friendly" pre-elemental quadable mobs. However I guess PoV or PoS could also be acceptable for this.

Edit
Poll = Pool in Title

With 4200 mana pool, FT5, c3, SCM3, SCF3, I could quad there.. pulled with epic to help. and finished OOM but could be done.. had to med at the end but got them down before snare wore off. They have about 25000 hitpoints

EDIT: Crap I forgot to mention.. I do it with this AND kei... never tried it without crack.. don't think I could do it under 14 minutes without it.

Well, I have everything Macnbaish has except I'm just under a 4000 manapool and I can NOT quad without having to med. I also have FoM1 and ER4, MP4, ID4 too. My WIS is 300 with IE2+KEI.

So that must be the combo you need to attain it.

Gah. Looking at your gear and stats you should be MORE than fine though Clakar.

Not to bump this but I thought I should be able to do this to :p

I can consitantly get the mobs down to the 10% area but find myself near or under 10m. Now this is without any siting at all, and I don't have a horse or lizard, so that could make a significant difference.

I'll toy around with it some more, always have fun trying. I do finish the quad but really by mana free root / rot, med up enough for a dd, repeat.

I run around with FT15 and about 6800 mana self buffed. Without KEI, I could quad HoH fairly easily. Although, I've found that single kiting with a DC pet much faster as far as exp/hour goes.

Hmmm.

That does seem odd, Clakar. With KEI your at 329 WIS and nearly 4600 Mana. You have 2 FT tics more than I do too. The only difference I can see is that I have FoM1 while you do not. I have noticed a difference in the number of crits I get ever since getting FoM1. Maybe you should try getting it too and see if you notice the difference as well. More crits during a quad is a boon.

Is your specialization NOT Evocation by chance? Cause that too might make a difference.

As for my quadding tactics in HoH, I don't use a mount though I know it's possible if you have the bard-speed one. I pull with Snare and then Epic dot. After that, it's KR all the way till my Mana runs out. I always get them to 10-15%. At this point, I'm med-kiting till I have enough for another cast of KR. They never all die at once, so the last one standing usually gets rooted, Epic and Bracer dotted, and hit with as many casts of Winter's Frost as it takes till he's dead (these too I'm medding for though).

Are you doing anything vastly different?

I think the part i'm missing is med kiting and doting with epic.

I have not done either of those but I will get around to trying it.

I'm evo spec and actually I do have 1 point in FoM (i'll update magelo in a bit :p)

Yes I forgot to mention that too... I pull each mob with epic.. as I"m going through the quad I will click around and find the mob tht is highest... I will then put drones on it and make sure epic is still running on it. i recheck every minute or two.. finding the mob at highest life and putting two clicky dots on it. This should help you a lot.
