I just recently got my Dire Charm AA skill and have been using it in HoH on the wrulon younglings without problem. Last night, however, we were pulling the guard/guardians one at a time, kiting them while the pet beats them up. When we finished one, the pet made a beeline for the next guard. Strange we thought, but no problem. After we killed that one, the pet again made a beeline for the next guard. I couldn't back the pet off of the guard and the guard eventually beat it to death. Has anyone else seen this happen? I never had. He certainly was aggressive, though. :)

If you are attacked (and even missed) by a mob while your pet is killing 1 mob, it will make a beeline for the next as soon as the first is dead. A couple of fixes are:

1. Don't get near adds while DC kiting.
2. Hit /pet back off the second the first monster dies.

Sounds more like it was pathing to it's spawn point.

never grouped or solo'd in HoH before, but here is a thought. Do those guards cast any sort of spells? Possibly small heals? It is not uncommon for a mob to heal one of its buddies, and at the same time not agro on you. Your pet would take this as agro and hit the proverbial "bline" to the next mob on his/her hate list.

We were doing singles, so we definately did not accidently aggro any other mobs, or they would have been on us. We fought along the wall, and after the fight, the pet ran over to the opposite side to pull the next guard, who was by himself. It was definately a pet on a mission, but we really didn't need a puller. I was pulling. :) I think Scirocco had the right answer. Very odd.
