In Horizons, you may have read there are no dungeons. You may also have read the game is predicated on a fight against an undead army. You may even have read about the blight regions.
I wanted to try to simulate the effect of entering a blight region in screenshots because it is one of the coolest effects in the game. It is hard to capture the feel of a 3d world in a 2d shot, but hopefully this will give you a bit of an idea what "blight region" means.
In the game some of these blight regions can be removed through the actions of players, either by killing a boss monster to which the blight is tied, or by destroying an object the blight is tied to (a blight generator). No one has figured out any of those yet, and a lot of the regions are static (gotta have experience areas after all) but regardless, the effect is cool.
The biggest blight regions have weather effects as well including lightning storms and rain. It really does feel a little spooky...
Well, here goes. If this works right just click on a little image to see a big one...(and I am posting this before all the images are live so bear with me if you see this and see broken links).
