** DISCLAIMER **

I am not putting the pathing exploits in to try and get people to use them and get banned. I put them here because doing feedback to SOE about pathing accomplishes next to nothing. It seems that the only way SOE will fix something like this is when it is general knowledge (can anyone say zone crashing) and they are afraid folks will use it to the advantage. Sometimes even that doesnt help (can we say Fellspine).

Pathing in Dulak harbor armory area is pathetic. You can stand on one side of the armory in the back corner and nuke a mob on the far wall of the armory and it will path back and forth along the far wall never coming to you. Mobs in other parts of this area will go 3/4ths of a square to get to you. If you move 3 feet to one side when the mob is finally coming to you it will path back along the same 3/4ths of the square to try to get to you again. This is one of the many pathing areas in LOY that is ridiculous. Today I rooted a mob that was about 10 feet from me and it warped 40 feet away (NOT GATED - WARPED) and was rooted there.

Loot - SOE has a flaky idea of reward VS risk. I can make 1k in about an hour in LOY off gems and sellables but can't make near that in POP. They did nerf the SHIVs that the common mobs dropped though. The were selling for just under 3 plat and are now selling for just under 7 silver.

And for folks looking for charms I say good luck. After spending 40-50 hours here I have gotten 2 of them.

New pathing calculation being tested on Test Server right now.

Way it was described, it seems that the main formula for all zones is being changed.

Really hope that it so and that it is a big improvement, pathing is a major suck now.

Well as usual SOE handled the LoY situation in a ignorant fashion. Instead of upping the loot in PoP, they lower the price of hard earned loot in LoY.

NOW if they would just fix the GD magic resist of these mobs so that the appropriate levels can play there. INstead there is an abundance of level 61 to 65 hunting in the LoY zones while the levels that find blue cons there flee. At 60, I have spent half my bar of mana just trying to root and/or snare one stupid light blue or green con. Then I shoot of a 1140 DD or my big Moonfire and it lands for 50 damage if I am lucky and it lands.

GOOD GRIEF. They screwed up PoP soooo bad and now LoY is a joke. DUH.

Pfft. Explore around. :)

I've gotten a new solo spot in LoY that gives just about as much experience as the place I was at in PoP.

Of course the main advantage is that no one else is around, so I don't have the hordes of lamers to harass me when I'm in Plane of Disease. That, my friends, is a wonderful thing.

How about the pathing bug in PoS behind the giant fort on the zone wall? You can get a mob to come towards you then path away when you move back a little. In other words, you can keep the mob pretty much in one spot by making it do the cha-cha and keep it from getting at you. Not that I used it or anything, and I'm sure I wasn't the first to notice. :p

The forest giant fort, forgot to mention that, and you can't edit here.

That seems to be the case in most places in storm.

I can't think of any benefit with the giants though...they summon, and if they run back and forth too long, they simply warp onto you. Makes it a pain to pull...
