BLEH!

Anyone know if this is the Ber Epic 100% for sure? It has no LVL Requirment, it's in Lucy's but not in Allah that I could find.

Berzerker Epic (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=68299&resize=true)

I hope to god that if that is the Berzerker epic that Sony give us something hell of alot better then the crap we have now. Mithaniel Marr drops a blade that is better then the druid 1hs not to mention weapons from zones like VT and Up.

Uhm.
That's the point.
Druid epic, and other "original" epics = Kunark level
Berserker epic = GoD level
Beastlord epic = Luclin level
Dark Mace of Thought = Luclin level
Blade of the Tempest = PoP level
Hammer of Hours/Greatstaff of Power = High PoP level

Berserker epic isn't quite up to GoD level, but neither was beastlord epic, but you get the point. Druid epic is supposed to be out dated, if you want better.. that's what they provided the MM blade for, a direct upgrade to the epic, except in terms of quest. Another good quest weapon might be nice to have, but epics are not meant to be the end all be all of weapons past Kunark, but I used mine up until Time. Epics for most people, casters especially, can last them a good long while, and most are not too difficult to get now-a-days.

And yes, that is the actual berserker epic

Clerics never complain about their epics being out of date. I've heard bards complain that theirs is so useful they HAVE to wield it. The epics were never all that balanced. Are you surprised?

Yup. Different epics have held up better or worse over time, the BER epic, while it's probably too good (and the politics behind that decision should be obvious), isnt that far out of line with some of the other better class epics, like the monk and rogue epics. Even the druid epic is a good one, and holds up for a long long time. Unlike the knight and warrior epics, which are basically useless now and can be replaced in the baz for about 100pp. The wizard epic is fantastic and really irreplacable, but the enchanter epic is nigh useless, and a direct better replacement is available from an easy PoP event. So go figure.

but the enchanter epic is nigh useless

When my guild enchanters think epic, they usually pull out Memory (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=28840).

Well, I helped a guildie get the zerker epic for his little alt zerker. It was a pain in the butt. It would be extremely difficult to impossible for an appropriately leveled zerker character to get it; it was designed to mains to get for their alts.

And once you've got it, you're good for a weapon for a while (whereas with other classes, save bard/cleric, you wouldn't even bother).

So I think it's about right. Though I pity the new player who tries for it without a lot of lvl 65, elemental/time-equipped toon help.

Our guild isn't elemental level nor vt nor even done NTOV. We are highly skilled. We have no main berzerkers, its too short a time for anyone to do that I think. However, I want to add to this gripe that the Imp in Fear is just a plain pain in the butt.

Its not hard. People were screaming bloody murder about wiping if not fully prepared. The hair shirts were getting excited. The Imp is just a plain annoyance. We killed him the first time while "prepared". One death. The second time we weren't fully buffed, but still won. The third time, we all moaned collectively "not again". We were just dispelled from the eyes and Mr. Imp and his collection of nagging imp-like buddies took us a good 20 minutes to finally kill due to being irresistably stunned the entire time. They have managed to simulate extreme lag in a normal environment.

So, you don't have to be super guild, with all the greatest gear and you don't even have to be buffed. You just have to have the fortitude to endure. It got to the point where I would root imps and leave them rather than let them join any clearing trains.

We did the imp with 2 lvl 65 shadowknights, 1 65 shaman and me (65 druid). Shaman (alt of one of the SK's) would throw a dot on in between mezzes and the 2 SK's and I would dot ourselves so as to break the mez...

Still, took 40 minutes to kill the bastige....freaking annoying fight.
