My Golden Retriever has been adopted by my parents. She's 4 yrs old, and never had puppies, and isn't spayed. She's always looked like she's had puppies though. Well, Mother tells me that she's really been favoring her back two "feeders". She's looked, found nothing unusual. She calls me last night to tell me that these two are leaking milk. She's got a huge fenced in yard all to herself, so we're pretty sure (99.99%) that she's not pregnant. Does this just happen? She's going to see the vet on Monday, but wanted to see what you's thought.

Psychological pregnancy. I've heard it even happens to humans :P

I did Google: "dog leaking milk" and came up with quite a lot of stuff.

Otherwise, this is not something I have experience with!

Yeah, could be a mock pregnancy. I've heard of that happening before. Have you been giving her stuffed toys to play with?

It does.

She's got a million little doggie toys, most of them have a squeeky thing inside. Hopefully it's just something that will pass. Probably will have to get her spayed now though.

You can always connect milking machines to her and cash in those sales! :)

*images of Ben Stiller doing the little milking movements to his imaginary cat nipples in 'meet the parents' springs to mind* :p

LOL I love that movie :)

Well, she went to the vet today and that's what it is. Now whenever the milk dries up, we're going to get her spayed. He said that it could cause infections and ickky stuff like that. We not planning on letting her have pups anyway. Probably should have gotten it done a few years ago.

Sounds completely logical to me.

Your golden retriever is currently pregnant with the second coming of Jesus. He's coming back as a dog this time. Bet you Christians didn't see that coming!

does that mean that the anti-christ will be born a cat?

No, he will be an animal control officer.

does that mean that the anti-christ will be born a cat?No. Cats can't be crucified, you have to 5-point star them. Otherwise the tail flips around and tells people what they're thinking. With the symbol then being a 5-point star, people would have to re-purchase their Christmas tree toppers, house and yard decorations and putting actors in "starring roles". It's just WAY too much work.

LOL!

New lyrics at christmas time then! And what if Jesus has litter-mates? Maybe they will be his apostles? Think "The Last Supper" and "Dogs playing Poker" paintings kind of mixed together.

From an arteeestic standpoint, that will only work if it's done in day-glo on black velvet with a black light picture light above it.
