Well, I got to thinking of some ways to improve Everquest. Correct me if I am wrong but the makers of Swords and Sorcery publish the Everquest roleplaying game as well as have the rights to the Ravenloft series. Now, wouldn't it be nice to crossover the Ravenloft series into The Everquest persistant onling gaming world. Sure there are legalities and stuff with it but then again lots of stuff do.

Ravenloft seems like a fun idea to implement as an expansion to Everquest or a possible stand alone game. All the fun things such as vampires, werewolves, and oh my. Ravenloft has lots of potential to be a fun expansion for Everquest, with lots of quests stuff to do, things to kill, end game stuff like Strahd. Just escaping Ravenloft would be fun. Ravenloft if done correctly just screams fun with things that go bump in the night, betrayals, murder, and on and on lots of potential there.

While I am at it,here are some other ideas that may or may not be in production. With Wizards of the Coast having bought out TSR the former makers of the Dungeons and Dragons series, and then in turn Wizards being bought out by Hasbro. Why have we not heard of a possible persistant online gaming world using the Dragonlance series, the Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk and others. I am not really counting Neverwinter Nights as a persistent online gaming world.

With the fan base of those games, which some of the fan base actually Everquest players as well as other games, It should be enough to look into a legitimate investment into making at least one or more of those games into an online persistent world. I like variety. Maybe some of those roleplaying games would be quite fun to play as an online gaming world.

Something like "Rifts" RPG from palladium books. That might be a cool MMORPG.

Combination of Apocalypse Earth, Future Technology (Lasers, Power Armor/Robots), Magic, and otherworldy Aliens/Demonic-like creatures.

The term "Rifts" is due to the constant opening of gateways into other dimensions. Perfect fodder for eventual expansion packs.

Hmmm... I think a MMOG based on the Vampire card game would be fun. You would be associated with one of the Methusula's and have Vampire gang warfare and have to fight off the vampire hunters and such. Perhaps the teams could be the various Vampire clans and a team of living (i.e. prey /cackle). Then there could be alliances and such between the clans, or even the living, that could keep anyone clan from getting too strong.

All I know is that I want to throw sewer lids!

Shadowrun or any/all of the World of Darkness games (Vampire, Werewolf, Changling, etc) would be really nice =-p

how about a game based on a sub-plot of southpark...underpants-gnomes. its a brilliant concept really...

the rules would be as follows.

1 - find underpants
2 - ?
3 - make lots of money

the mmo part would be finding out what step 2 is.

Definitely vampires! I'm so surprised there isn't a vampire MMOG yet.

Get a team of coders who believe in your vampire game vision. Get a team of artists with same said enthusiasm (and hopefully at least competent at making art). Get a PR person who can sell the idea to the distributing companies (EA would like a money making MMORG) so they will give you venture capital at the expense of the game belonging to them. You need the coders and artists because it is best to have a very nearly done if not done product for the PR person to sell. Run it as well as you can and get a little lucky.

That's the basic way to do it.

You make it sound so easy, Bap! These people don't want to get paid, they'll do it from the love of a game!
