Just a general rant about every single everquest forum in existence... I look around forums on patch day and there is always a nerf on someones class and in the nerf thread maybe 1/4th of them say things like "If they dont change this, me AND my 5 acnts are quitting as of this friday" or "Hit them where it hurts -- cancel your accounts, I know I am going to" or, my favorite, "I just called up and cancelled my 5 accounts because of this. I will get them redone when they fix all of these problems."

We ALL know that people saying these things are full of it. My bet is that a red hot poker, bucket of wax, and a dinner invitation from the Dahmer Party couldnt get any player that actively posts to everquest message boards to quit because of something like this.

Not saying players dont quit when they finally get tired of it -- but the people that post everywhere (things like 400+ posts) and say these things about "cancelling all their accounts" every other week are REALLY starting to tick me off.

I just want to post on their messages calling them out RIGHT UNDERNEATH where they posted.

Sigh... this is all just a rant, hence rant forum... I am probably alone in that this REALLY makes me mad. I dont know why really... guess its just one of my "irks"... tell me I am not alone...

Guess you have a point, but everyone has a 'last straw' kind of area...

This, as far as I recall, is the only time I've seriously threatened quitting over VI's decisions (actually I left for a bit for personal reasons, but that's something else)

It's not just the likes of the harmony nerf... it's the whole nerf bat that's been swinging at most classes recently, and the ridiculous stories they make up to try (and fail) to twist the reasoning behind it into sounding positive.

Note I didn't say I *would* quit, just said that it's getting extremely close. When I say that it's the truth, not the usual rant.

I think I said it once... it was the experience nerf. They fixed it, I stayed.

I do know that if the exps info is correct so far and soloing ends up being dead post 60 I wont be leveling for many many months. I would rather stay at 60 and collect AAs than be screwed out of them with my hours.

Not saying that EVERYONE who says this is trying to "grandstand" but if 100 people said this then I would bet only 1 or so meant it -- rest of them being either flat out liars, people who think they can "Scare Vi" with a threat (that they know they will not do)..

Not trying to say this about anyoen in particular here so please dont get wrong message.

But honestly -- how many times have you seen "Me and my 5 acnts are quitting !!! FIX THIS VI!!" -- I have seen it enough where if it was true, everquest would have lost so many people as to make a player listing by server as barren as the entire continent of odus (with exception of occasional raidings to the hole).

Just saying that these "threats" that EVERYONE knows is false just ticks me off... kinda like setting up paper soldiers.. =) (Though civil war buffs will acclaim the effectiveness of "Quaker guns", I digress)...

Kind of like most of what Verant says and we know its not really true.

If people don't quit ranting about other people quitting, I'm going to quit.
