View Full Forums : 3-boxing an LDoN -- different combos

I am currently brainstorming which class combos (preferrably including a Druid) could successfully complete normal LDoNs. I've been able to make the Pally/Enchanter/Druid combo work for awhile now but am interested in using other classes for the fun of it.

I actually am thinking about the following:

1. Druid/Necro/Enchanter
- Pull, park & bake. Mobs immune to RS changes would be a bit of a problem, but I was thinking either Druid or Necro pet tanking a slowed mob. Would this work?

2. Druid/Necro/Shaman
- Similar idea but pulling would be hard without an enchanter I'd imagine.

3. Druid/Enchanter/Druid
- Combination of Root/DoT and Nuking at 40% or so. RS immune mobs would again be a challenge, but I could try tanking or perhaps charming them in some cases (Tak?).

4. Druid/Enchanter/Wizard
- Would this combo have enough firepower to Root/Nuke mobs efficiently?

Anyway, I'd be interested in your feedback on these as well as getting additional suggestions.

I've done it with druid/paladin/bard, though the paladin and bard weren't bots, and it's rather difficult to bot a bard.

I would think a Druid/ Enchanter/ Wizard would be a good fast group to move thru a LDON. Maybe throw in a Cleric just in case someone needs heals and the druid is busy.

Depending on gear just solo a ruj easy....

Pet proccing slow and tash makes it trivial. So druid / enc / necro would blast through it if you get 2 charmed pets. Mind you 2 pets maybe too much for one person 3boxing :)

If you dont do ruj you are going to be a bit slower but i think enc has to be there for efficiency - charm / slow / stuns all very useful for quick killing. Dual wielding, hasted pets mow through easy ldon mobs. I found when solo my wolf needed one 5k heal per mob he fought on average (this was whilst proccing 50% slow and with 70% haste).

Druid / Ranger / Bard is one I have done as well - all time geared so worked very well.

Druid, beastlord, mage.

Have haste, debuffs, slows, buffs, heals, regen, mana regen (SD, pot9, modrods), crowd control (beastlord pet/root), and great dps (charmed pet, beast pet, mage pet, all with summoned weapons/gear).

I haven't tried this yet, as I can't stand ldon, however, hypothetically, this group should work well, as long as the beastlord is able to tank well enough (which he should if he has decent gear, and defensive aa's) and the druid can keep healing and can channel a charm through a few mean pet swings.

Druid / Mag / Enc - very easy.

Also found Druid / War / Sham to be easy, but the DPS sucks compared to the above combo sucks.

My bf and I do them with druid / bard / enchanter. Not the fastest 3-person combo out there, but we never had problems.

My gf and I also have done druid / mage / chanter LDoNs. After one failed run, we've had no real problems, except for one time we zoned in and the first room had like 4 mobs in it, all un pacifiable. My chanter was only 58 at the time.

Warrior, Druid and Ranger is what I usually do slows courtesy of Earthacaller ! CC courtesy of root and snare! You can be done in a normal in about 30 minutes.

Once we had 3 people go LD at the start of a mistmoore adventure, wound up just being me (playing my monk), a necro and a paladin. Was quite entertaining! We won though, we were all strangers and my monk is far from being uber geared (none of us were). Good for a challenge!
