According to new research into chemical residue found in the dust collecting on computers and other electronics devices, the PC that you're using to read this story could pose a long-term threat to your health.

Danger: Living is the leading cause of death. Please avoid any sort of living or life related functions to avoid death.

According to the media: According to science, waking up...stepping outside...eating bread...eating meat...eating vegetables...breathing air...drinking water...and sitting can all cause horribly dangerous things to occur to oneself.

A life lived in fear is no life at all.

...breathing air...

As some of you may know, I work as an analytical chemist in the field of air quality analysis (analyzing smoke stack gasses, bag house gasses, ambient air, 'fenceline monitoring' of superfund and other big clean up sites etc). From what I"ve seen, analyzing ONLY for metals consitituents:

Eat. Drink. Smoke. We're all dying of cancer anyway. Enjoy your life while you have it.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck

(written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life anyone ever gets to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love you's..." More "I'm sorry's."

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it ... live it .and never give it back. Stop sweating the small stuff.

Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what.

Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.

Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally, as well.

We have one shot at this and then it's gone. I hope you all have a blessed day.

No... sorry, absolutely no regrets about not running to the dry cleaners every week!

Heh, Pan, when we first bought our house it had WHITE carpet. WHITE WHITE, like snow white. It lasted 2 weeks before Jeffrey got Giardia. So we ended up replacing it. We replaced it with 'dirt colored' carpet. We didn't get it solely because it didn't show dirt though, we got it because it would free up more time to just be us and have fun.

So I would say your purchases probably fit the idea she was aiming for: if you purchase something so you don't have to worry about it, it means you can spend more time enjoying life. We don't worry much about our carpet, most of the dirt is invisible. If you can't see it, it isn't there right?

Exactly! I hate that dry cleaning nonsense. I'd rather spend the time looking frumpy and have more fun. :) I picked my carpet color because I figured coffee spills and cat vomit stains wouldn't show. However, they still show. Dammit.

That reminds me, I gotta get my dirt colored carpet replaced with laminate flooring. When do I have time to go shopping for that? I got games to play!

As an ardent DHMO activist, I would like to point out its perils.

Here is a worker using DHMO to clean industrial waste.

The Urquhart Steam Generating Plant in Beech Island,
a coal-fired power plant, burns 1,400 tons of coal per
day and emits 3,700 tons of ozone-causing nitrogen oxides and
over twenty thousand tons of DHMO each year.
The plant, owned by South Carolina Electric & Gas Co., is considered
one of the region's biggest polluters.

DHMO is/was used as a coolant at 3 Mile Island Nuclear Facility.

DHMO contaminated sewage.

CDC Director Dr. Julie Gerberding, at a news briefing, discussed thousands of
Americans die of DHMO inhalation each year, and thousands more are injured.
"DHMO inhalation is the second leading cause of injury-related death for
children age 14 and under."

Ban DHMO Now!
