View Full Forums : Lost my specialization (bug?)

My druid was level 59 and was specialized in Alteration (maxed, all others at 50). Then I stopped playing the game for about half a year or so, and returned to the game recently.

Upon returning, I didn't look at my skill list as I didn't think anything has changed. However, last night I noticed my specialization going up in Conjuration, so I took a look at my skill list. Conjuration is now at 153 with all others (including Alteration, which I had previously maxed) at 50. It appears that my character got reset to 50 in all specializations without my knowledge. And because of it, my character is now "accidentally" specialized in Conjuration (I would actually prefer Evocation instead of Alteration now, but that is beside the point).

When did this happen? Has anyone else experienced this? I know that there is some strangeness going on right now, with skill caps like research and sense heading being unintentionally raised above 200 (according to SOE forums, a bug that will be fixed). However I don't know if this is related at all or another bug altogether, since it caused me to lose skill points I previously had.

Thanks, but I already knew about the quest to do that, so my question wasn't about how to fix the situation.

My main concern/question is that I was already maxed in one specialization, but somehow those points are just gone, without my knowledge. It's strange that those skill points would just disappear into thin air. Just wanted to see if anyone else lost skill points in a similar fashion, or if it is a known bug.

Hmm, after thinking about it and trying to remember what I did before I quit earlier, I do recall contemplating resetting my specializations with the Sol Ro guy, since I rarely used heals anymore. Apparently I actually went ahead and did it right before I quit, but I was away from the game for so long that I forgot I had done it.

In any case, either Conjuration or Evocation is fine with me for now, so I'll probably stick with the current situation and then just get the second specialization AA at some point.

While I am an alteration druid,.. I would STRONGLY reccoment evocation over conjuration.. saving mana on burst nuke dps is MUCH better than saving it on dots.. in a raid setting and group setting you usually.. nuke instead of dot..

I agree with Grygonos. Most fights are so short dots aren't worth it. I can remember only one time I was happy I used a dot long time ago in a LDoN adv, The named mob gated then died from the dot.
