Hi
I'm looking at getting a druid up to 65 cause i think they are neat.
not too sure how to p lvl one well. =/

I have the following chars, 65 pally, 65 cleric, 65 wizard, 65 monk
I'm thinking if i can get it to 42 (or is it 43) i can just kill mobs with any of the above and get exp. but 1-44 is going to be a big killer.

Can anyone suggest some ways? im totally stumped =/

Skills do not matter at all. i can get them up later easily enough with a kei and some time or letting stuff beat on me.

Any help would be apreciated thanks =)

1. Buff the druid with the cleric and pally.
2. Pull and beat down a mob to 5% with the monk and FD.
3. Nuke with druid and get the KS and XP.

As long as the mobs you are killing are even con or greater the XP will fly.
You could also do the bone chip quest in Kaladim to lvl up real fast to 8 or so iirc. Just farm chips in Paineel with another char first and get like 2 backpacks full or so and then start the powering.

Another option would be to use your Druid's magic DoT (Stinging Swarm - 14, Creeping Crud - 24, etc.) as they have a -100 modifier and will frequently stick on red cons.

Monk pulls 3-4 mobs, beats them to a pulp, FD, Druid cook's em.

The cleric reverse DS (MoR) isn't quite as convenient as the druid version for PLing, but does the job.

Lovely..yet another PL'd dr00d. Ever thought of just playing the game? No offence but its so easy now a days to get a toon up to 65, why not just play. You may actually learn something about the class.

Yep, need that guy next to me in a raid....why don't you just e-bay it and get it over with...?

Why does everyone think that they need to have 300 days played on a toon to "know how to play"?

This isnt rocket science.

If he has 3 or 4 lvl 65 characters chances are he knows what druids are capable of and in a matter of 3 weeks could get to about 85% capacity of most of the lvl 65 "pure" druids. Give him 6 weeks total and chances are you'd never know he didnt level up "old school"

If its someone who has never played EQ and then simply purchased a lvl 65 enchanter then yeah, he is only asking for trouble trying to figure everything out... game play, aggro radius, etc; But this isnt him and chances are, with 3 lvl 65 chars, he already knows this stuff.

Yea, they are NEAT, and packed with abilities and skills, that are learned by doing...But NEAT is still a good reason to PL to 65...so just kill mobs

I've had more fun playing my barely twinked ( etched steel baton/crystaline spider fang...rest he earned himself) beastlord... absolutely loving it. .and learning alot about how to effectively play a bl.. and what kinds of tricks they can do...playing the game .. enjoying it.. and learning from it... are what makes it fun for me... but if you wanna pl to 65 then be my guest...

the joy is in the journey.. not the destination.

He asked about power-leveling. He didn't ask about alternatives to power-leveling. Every question for information should not turn into relgious debate. If you have answers to the questions, offer them or don't offer them. Useless negativity is just that.

Use the cleric's reverse DS at low levels, then start using monk+FD. It would probably be overly annoying/difficult for the monk not to kill most low level stuff in one round.

Crushbone to level 8.
Paludal Caverns to level 20.
Gunthak to level 35~40.
Dulak or some other hot spot or plane to 55.
Outisde-cave rabbit group in Plane of Valor to 62.
Halls of Honor basement or rabbit group (or stay in PoV) to 65.

Once you reach 55, killing things with your other characters will not be faster than joining a grind/rabbit group in PoV or HoH.

Now that is a succinct statement. Who were you referring to and why?

Perego...and this isn't a religious debate. I personally don’t see where this guy will ever be of benefit to himself or others in game by PLing to 65. If he wants to run around solo then fine, no harm to anyone but himself, until the trains he keeps pulling through zones becomes a danger. In a group, I (I’m speaking for myself, so if anyone else doesn’t agree, that’s great) don’t want that guy next to me. I’ve died enough times from peeps that have no idea what the hell they are doing and the group wipes.

Again, this is my opinion. I have every right to form and express this opinion, just as much as perego and everyone else does. If I fall off my soap box, then so be it, but my original post to this thread stands as stated. He can get there quick by e-bay if all he’s interested in is getting to 65 and having a “NEAT” druid. If he wants to at least try and learn what Druids can do while gaining levels, then that is different. There is tons of advice here, I have given some, and have taken many times more from these posts, and feel I’ve learned a great deal, and have more to learn. But a neat druid has nothing to give here, or in game.
