I am so tired of all the class bashing.

A clerics take on druids:

There are three types of druids:

1). The ones I know and like. These are great people, I will group or raid with them anytime.

2). The ones who have annoyed me. Not very many of these, but sadly they do exist. I would say there are less of them as a percentage then other classes.

3). The ones I don't know. There are a lot of these, and thats too bad, because most of the druids I have met are really fine people.

My take on clerics:

1). The ones I know and like. See above.

2). The ones who have annoyed me. See above, although there are a greater percentage of clerics who have annoyed me then druids by far.

3). The ones I don't know. A lot of these too. See above.

Hmm.. gotta agree with you on the points you made but i dont see what it has to do with class envy really other than the fact that maybe you dont hate all the druids?

Yeah, I think a big part though is that since druids are fairly trivial to solo up to the mid levels that you have the morons surviving longer than in another class.

I've met some druids that were total wastes of protoplasm.
I've met some clerics that need to win the Darwin award.

The only thing is that the druids tend to get a lot of people killed besides themselves when they screw up because of some of the tools a druid gets to hunt with. Cleric pulls too many, he tries to run but gets bent over after a few steps; druid pulls too many and runs off training everyone between themselves and safety with imminent death.

Not to stereotype, but it seems to me that MALE halfling and FEMALE wood elf (/hide) druids have a far higher idiot ratio than half-elf or human druids, or the female halflings and male wood elves. Comparably for clerics would be high elf males mostly.

alu, it might just be a simple result of statistics. halflings and woodelfs tend to have the best starting stats. as for males and females...well, you stated both genders for both races. furthermore, there are a lot of factors that can cause these sort of accidents. i'm fairly sure almost every druid has trained someone at some point, but weren't idiots.

according to that discription, i'm probably one of the idiots.

boxing - a friend of your's logs you on and ports some friends and takes them to ME and logs off there after the night is over. you log on and is greeted by a bat/vius. what do you do? run along the zone wall until you find the nearest zone to zone out, or try to run off to get enough time for gate/evac. regardless, you need to do some running.

quad kiting - yay! you got your first AE/DD nuke spell! now you can try the thing that everyone is talking about, quad kiting. k, so you start snaring and things are going okay. oops, add...now you have 5...then another add. you realize you don't have enough mana so bolt for the zone. however, a guy that is pulling for his group runs by and then what? you're oom and the guy has agroed your pulls unto his group by cross pulling.

there are the 2 cases where i've trained people.

ME = 1 cleric died (was a bot PLing a monk).

GD = 3 people dead. kodiak cross pulling.

i haven't trained anyone else since, but i might in the future do to the situation or circumstance. i've seen very few druids train people personally, but seen many warriors/monks/mages train groups. (mages you can't blame too much since their class use to be so messed up with pet pathing.)

back on topic

cleric's gripe = why should druids get a better heal that throw us out of groups. they can port, sow, invis, solo like mad and gain exp faster than us. they're a master solo class so they shouldn't get it both ways. etc etc.

druid's gripe = clerics got it all! they make or break raids, and can heal far better than us. they have rez so they don't lose exp much. they can always find groups and get dibs on the uber priest loots that drop. :p

realistically, both see the grass as greenier on the other side. druids don't want to be clerics...because that's so boring. clerics don't want to be soloers, they want groups and chatter. both sides have some real issues, and both sides have some seriously moot issues. /shrug
