Pointing out one or two potential benefits of a major patch is different from blind faith in a game development company.
The title of my thread was sensational on purpose, but I still feel the points made therein were valid. Druids bring more to high risk groups in remote dungeons than they bring to zoneline xp grinds.
Stating the above does not mean I loved the patch. It does not mean I liked the part about getting 50% less xp all over the place. It does not mean I liked the part about our healing abilities falling even further behind those of clerics, in the name of balancing.
"I used SoE in Sirens Grove for 4 months. Did you?"
mkay. Grotto maybe?
I do think "level pulling" reflects a flaw in the game design. I pull for groups, and it is ridiculously easy in some places. This leads to boring groups, in my opinion. How shall we put it, "Bowling with bumpers?"
"Let's move somewhere else"
"Nah, it is safer here and we get good xp"
I'm looking forward to the day when more people say, "Yeah, let's go somewhere else."
Discussions are good when you can separate conflicting viewpoints from personal attacks. Ask a few questions and you'll probably find we agree on a lot of things.
Not a VAK, but not thrilled by unrelenting pessimism either.
