Hi Everyone,
I am a level 60 druid and have everything for the Grand Oracle Tunic except the Sang Tome and the Velious BP. I want to know if at my level I can solo or maybe go in with just another tank type and farm the guys that drop this pattern. I am ally to Thurg and have poor faction with other 2 factions.

Please provide the following tips:

Best way to get to target mobs with minimal fighting
Good place to set up camp to kill them until I get the drop
Things to watch out for.

Thanks for those that take the time to help out. I'm not to comfortable with KD so having a good idea what I want/need to do will help me tremendously.

Lieutenants (the Storm giants in grey armor) at the bank can drop thurg armor, are uncommon spawns, and dont summon.

Storm giant Adjutants, Veterans, Legionnaires and Troopers in the arena and towards tormax can drop thurg armor as well, however they summon, veterans hit rather hard and (I think) rampage, Adjutants are clerics and like to CH themselves 3 or 4 times

You could probably duo ok in the arena if you're careful with pulls. I personally used to solo up there back in my early 60s with a charmed Drakkel Dire Wolf from the pit outside tormax area. 240 quad, 80% hasted pet for win.

You should be able to root dot Lt's at the bank fairly easily. They can drop armor although you may be disapointed by the drop rate and it will take time but I do know that bps can drop from them. Whenever you have a bored minute or are lfg pop into kael track for LT's (can track from WL zone). If any LT's start pulling wanderers and the guards into the tunnel heading towards EW side. There's one wanderer in the tunnel that you might have to deal with and one or two wanderers in the bank area.

At 60 the non-lieutenants shouldn't be high enough to assist (except for the uncommon Sergeants possibly, and Captain Bvellos or his PH.)

I am in a similar position, I have all the books but still need a BP, we have been farming Kael for a long time now, we have just about every other drop from there except the BP.

We have been in arena and are now thinking of heading to KT area, so I am wondering if we should move to KT or stay in arena for the best chances at getting a BP to drop.. Cause frankly I am sick of this place =(

We are able to kill anything here easily so I am wondering which mobs/areas have the best drop rate?

Thanks in advance for any help.

yellow/red cons back behind vindi have the best drop rates.

Also, consider doing HoT instead, if for nothing more than a change of pace.

HoT can be tricky with the AEs if you get more than one mob at the same time. We farmed the heck out of HoT a couple years ago and at the time the armor drops there were good upgrades, just kind of rare. There are still a few pieces of HoT armor that aren't easy to replace. Plate legs have great stats for most classes, for example.

HoT isn't that hard. My guild (probably tier 4 as perscribed in the covenant thread) did HoT regularly with w/ 2 + 1/2 - 3 groups. We had 3 or four in camp once or twice on bad pulls.. and we really didn't lose anyone...youcan't zerg HoT and hope for the best though.. everyone still needs to listen and assist and really pay attention to placement in the cubby for healers to avoid ae.

Haven't done HoT in a long time, not sure if I even remember my way around. Oh well, hopefully the map works in there =)

It doesn't.

Also remember, you can MQ or acquire any other tunic pattern -- not just leather.

I did more than my share of time in Kael and the only BP I ever saw drop was in an arena group and it was plate. Brings back old sour memories.

In fact, that would be what I would recommend. Do the triggered Arena cycle and get the plate tunic. That will work for your oracle tunic.

Uh, what's the Arena Cycle?

Or are you meaning the SK guild/iceshard bros. house ring war plate cycle?

Please tell me more about this arena cycle. And it guarentees an Eroded Plate BP? Could you also throw and detail sabout the quest or an item you receive for the quest so I can look it up on Alla's? Thanks

Point 5 is the part of the quest you'll be doing. Easily duoed with time geared warr + druid, scale as needed. And no, you're not guaranteed a plate bp, but it's a much better drop rate than any other place in Kael, so your odds are considerably better.

The cycle is part of the 9th ring quest. Specific mob you target in Kael and event can be found at: http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=10974

We usually got one bp per 4 hrs on the cycle. But did it with Enc keeping one giant busy as a pet at a time.

Yeah you can MQ any of the velious armour.

Yeah you can MQ any of the velious armour. For the Grand Tunic of the Oracle, right? Just makin sure before burning the token cause like I said, read a few places that as of an update earlier this year (if I recall correctly) it just eats the bp and the token, making it not MQ'able.

Oooo for the Oracle quest... sorry I misunderstood.

No, for that one I've heard the same thing, that you need to have the tunic yourself, as it sets a hidden flag or something, so it's not MQ'able.

Got a robe to drop and didn't know you could use any piece for it, so my friend looted it so he could try to MQ it for someone else. :banghead:

I could be totally wrong here, i've never done either quest, but doesn't it work like this.. You need a completed velious tunic/bp/robe for the oracle quest. The completed tunics are results of their own quest which can be mq'd. If someone has a leather bp and you have the 3 black marbles, you can mq that part and get the velious bp, then use that in the oracle quest. Is this correct?

Here is what I did. I MQ'd with a friend the Thurgardin Enchanter Robe (I am a halfling druid) by handing in the gems after she handed in the robe. Then I handed in my new enchanter robe as part of the Oracle Tunic quest and got the Grand Tunic.
