Now I can't remember where I first read about SOE's plans for solo LDoN but I do remember reading it somewhere, possibly one of the guild summit summaries.

Its kind of upsetting that they won't be adding it anytime soon though :/

Hell, I proposed just allowing LDONs to be started by one person, and calculating mob level based on character level minus 5. They didn't want to do that.

If you feel strongly on this issue, send an email or some other form of feedback.

Well I went to dig around and this is what I found at Steel Warriors:

http://www.thesteelwarrior.org/forum/showthread.php?t=7457

Dear Guild and Community Representatives,

Thank you very much for a great Summit! By all accounts it was a huge success. I can speak for the EverQuest Development Team and tell you that we're all grateful for the input you provided. In fact, in trying to generate this list to giove you this evening, we realized there was so much to go over that we wouldn't be able to get a complete list together in time. We're committed to not only listening to your feedback, but working with you to make EverQuest more enjoyable for years to come.

So, we decided to list the Top Ten themes we would address starting Monday, as well as the most common themes that we'll come back with more information on by mid-week next week.

A quick discussion resulted in a list of items that we will immediately address:

* Add scripting to shut off empty instances of Plane of Time
* Raid Messages of the day
* Improving how we handle beta and the testing process
* Increase the number of debuffs allowed on MOBs
* Increase buffs on players through AAs
* Note field on raid window
* Improved consent & drag for raid, group, and guild
* Improve corpse drag radius
* Make charms not no-drop
* Guild and individual rewards for guild beta testing
* Work on larger To Do list...I know this one is a little random

Future items we will immediately begin looking at and discussing are as follows:

* Plane of Time instancing and other issues
* Back flagging solutions to help with high-end guild atrophy
* Improved raid and guild functionality
* Auto loot all for your corpse
* Improvements to raid XP
* Review the epic 2.0 quests
* No more alien NPCs ;-) (focusing more on familiar Norrathian themes)
* Solo LDON-Style instances or similar content
* Issues with item augmentations
* Possible enhancement to guild wars

Of course these aren't all of items. You brought us a CD, 2 books, 20 printed sheets, and a manifesto. We'll need to go through all of those and our notes before we can really get a good tally of all the wonderful ideas and questions that were presented.

Thank you again for your feedback and participation. We've had a great weekend and a wonderful display of things to come.

Sincerely,
Robert Pfister
Executive Producer
EverQuest

And the EverQuest Development Team!

At least I know I didn't dream up "solo LDoN". True, they only promised to take a look at it but didn't promise to do anything. I guess I'm just peeved with the bungling miscommunication that always seems to happen when dealing with SOE. One dev says one thing and another will contradict.. *sigh*

Solo, Duo LDoN's are the one thing from the summit that would have brought me back to EQ.

Thanks for posting that response Iilane, I've been waiting on word of them since the summit and now I can better plan my gaming future.

edit: Scirocco, I probably should send an email, and perhaps later I will. However, right now I'm feeling the same apathy towards them as they are showing me.

Yeah but it appears Brenlo didnt hear the suggestion Scir because 4-5 pages in someone else made the same suggestion and he said it was a great idea he hadn't thought of and was taking it ot the Dev's. The suggestions was simply to remove the 3 person requirements and allow adventures to be started by duo'ers/solo'ers.

Read the entire thread. There's some good stuff there. As long as you are capable of filtering out the majority of the drivvle one gets from the general posters on Sony's forums.

Also note that he mentioned that solo-adventures were never promised for Omen. And he also said solo adventures weren't dead, just that they wern't on the "radar" to be looked at until after Omens.

Read all of Brenlo's posts.
