I am in need of a mana regen item. I have asked some players and they told me I should get this earring. It can be bought for about 5k in the bazaar. I decided I would go ahead and try to get it for cheaper by making it myself. I read that I could make the "Xanthe's Earring of Nature" since it was no-fail and turn it into the "Earring of the Solstice". I have all of my supplies except for the "Golden Idol of Tunare." I would make it myself, but it would take a +200 skill to create. I have yet to see this item in the bazaar and don't know what to do. I have already spent the money on all the other items. Any help would be great.

You could obtain all the components and pay a tradeskiller a fee to do the combine for you. Check out EQTraders web site here (http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_item.php?item=1469&menustr=) for the components that are needed.

The Xanthe's Earring of Nature/Earring of the Solstice cannot be purchased in the Bazaar (or anywhere). They are both No Drop. The 5k price quoted was probably to purchase the 9 items required for the combine. That sounds about right for the five times I've done the quest (both earrings for me, and the Earring of the Solstice for 3 alts).

If after checking the Bazaar a few times, and you still don't see the Golden Idol of Tunare, then ask some of the Bazaar traders who sell the Star Ruby Encrusted Stein (Pottery Trivial 335). If they can make the Stein, they can make the Golden Idol of Tunare (Pottery Trivial 242).

My Pottery skill is only 200, but I have a decent success rate making either of those. I skilled up to 200 in Pottery with the Idols and Steins. The only Solstice item I cannot succeed making is the Mistletoe Cutting Sickle. Annoying too, as I skilled up smithing for the 8th Shawl with the precombines for the Sickle.

One of the easiest ways to find tradeskillers is what you already did -- mention what server you are on and what it is you need tradeskilled. There is probably a druid or a druid's alt who is looking for you in game so s/he can sell you the finished Golden Idol ....
