Level 59 druid without epic, mana pool around 3200. Too low to charm frogs but I am wondering if anyone has a good guess-timate of their hit points for root/rotting? Or, another way to ask question -- how many cycles of breath of ro and winged death would it take to kill one? Also, how is their magic resist -- can i expect frequent root breaks?

By comparison, root/rotting level 55 sun revs in Grey take about 25 percent of mana for each kill (about 3 cycles of dots) and give me 2 percent aaxp. This is with burning affliction and affliction efficiency focus effects btw.

Thanks

It's gonna take a lot of mana from you because it will take quite a while to kill them and drain mana due to resists. I don't know what their HPs are but I would say they might be about the same or a little more than the sun revs. The frogs are high snare/root resist, especially at lower levels. I don't remember for sure where the "cut off" is, but I believe the frogs don't yield more than 1% exp until the player is past level 61 or 62. After that the exp is much better per kill and scales down a little bit per level as you gain levels.

Also, the frogs have a pretty high aggro radius so stay well away from the other pathing frogs.

Its an alternative to other solo grinds, but very inefficient until you can charm them. They have quite a bit of hitpoints and as stated above, are very resistant to snare/root at lower levels.

If you really want to grind 59 out here, find a necro buddy to duo with. Itll go faster despite the split experience.

On the plus side, if you choose to root/rot them, you should never have to wait on repops since you will be killing so slow.

They have a lot of hitpoints

When i charm one and I have to heal it KR with full focus items on heals for 5569 which is around 20% of their hitpoints.
