bah I cant fix the title (even tho I did in the message)

please note,
it *seems* more titles are available based on the amount of AA you have

my chanter and pally are 800+ AA each, and they had 4 more class titles than what the Betabuffed chars had with approx 190 AA

Kinda upset that they don't have an all encompassing title for those who are in the 1750 club. :( Or is that what the other titles are supposed to be.

Ya they definately should. And it would seem trivial to add since they have other tradeskill titles. I am far from a 1750 club member but still understand the time invested deserves a title.

I wonder what the cut offs are for the higher druid AA titles.

what are the cutoff for Apprentice and Journyman titles in tradeskills? And how many titles can you have at once?

I've had Fishing 200 for over 5 years (one of the first anywhere!) and I'm saddened that there's no title beyond Journeyman Fisher 8( afaik there's no way to get it past 200... I even tried equipping my +fishing skill mod item!

Have to have 250 to get the Master tradeskill title, i have master jeweler and master brewer, but my 241 baking isn't good enough

Tiane
09-15-2004, 06:06 AM
I know... but you *cant* get over 200 in fishing, nor is there any AA to raise the cap (which would be silly but anyway...)

It's my only 200 "tradeskill" and fishing's been a part of my druid's character since inception!

Zendernor
09-15-2004, 08:20 AM
/feedback it. 200 fishing obviously(to me at least), should be Master Fisherman.

Besides the tradeskill ones, I wonder what the requirements are for each title.

200 fishing should give the title "Master Baiter".......

Sorry, couldn't resist.

At 65, 478 aa, 250 in all tradeskills except smithing (220) and pottery (220), I could choose Lady. Doesn't narrow it down much, I know, but it's something to start with.

65, epiced, 250 in baking only and only 58 AAs also allows me to pick "Lady" if that helps. I also had Prophet, Naturewalker, a few tradeskill related ones, Baroness, Venerable, and Mistress available to me. There may have been another one, but I don't remember.

My favorite though, is not having to have a title at all if you don't want to! I /petitioned to have mine removed months ago, and was told it wasn't possible. Now it is!

Thanks for this information. I wondered why I had Naturewalker available to me, when I only have 18 AAs. On the other hand my RL hubby is an epiced warrior with 30ish AAs and he does not have Champion available to him.

Zendernor
09-15-2004, 04:03 PM
think champion is bugged or something.. some warriors have reported that they do not have champion as a title even though they completed their epic while others with the epic have the title available.

Tiane

Hmph, Monks may be bugged too then, cause my monk has had her epic for years, and no Transcendent. Have all the others though.

It's wonderful that you can have the epic title available even without buying OoW

Aderel
09-16-2004, 08:22 AM
The title system is quite disappointing. I was expecting titles that showed accomplishments beyond the old 'Elder' title. They should've spread out 'Naturalist', 'Spiritist', 'Waymaker' and 'Heirophant' (and more titles!) over a couple of hundred AAs. (say, 100, 200, 400, 600, etc...) It's not like these things would require much work now when the system is in place.

Aderel
09-16-2004, 08:31 AM
Also, there should be more titles depending on your progress/accomplishments in the game such as:

- Having Vex Thal key
- Having Sleeper's Tomb Key
- Being TOSR flagged
- Being Elemental flagged
- Being PoTime flagged
- Being Kod'Taz flagged
- Having Qvic Key
- Having Txevu Key
- Having completed the BIC quest
- etc!

I think the deal with the epic titles is that you have to have you epic on you. At least that was the case for me. I lost my title when I died and had to CR. Well... not going to use that one any more. Really don't feel like fixing my title every time i die.

Ah thats why my title disappeared...

Thanks for the list Zendernor, just need to add Muse to the bard ones at 24 aa in class, if you're a female bard anyway (they get impressario as well).

Well I didn't buy OOW, and did have the Naturewalker title option, only have bout 16 aa's. But my baking is 200 and I didn't have that title availble...Do you have to buy the expansion for the tradeskill titles? Or do you have to buy the AA's for the tradeskill titles?
Anyone know? :smoke:

Sounds like a bug to me, Guvwenea. I have OoW and was able to select Journeyman Fisherman Galadhriel Windrider or Journeyman Baker (No, I haven't kept it. It's so teensy over my head!). I have 200 fishing and baking, but no extra tradeskill AAs.
I suggest that you /bug it for the heck of it. Seems to me if you can use some of the titles, you should be able to use all of the applicable ones.

There is a known issue with titles and epics - the title will disappear if the epic is on your corpse. The title check is set to check equipped, inventory and bank slots, but they can't catalog the corpse for some reason. However they are working on it.

Monk specific - I've heard at least two monks who've brought it up to the dev's attention, so they should be looking at it. I haven't heard anything about warriors. They're also double checking to make sure that the inventory and bank are being "sniffed" for the epic.

Someone suggested that epic ownership just become a character flag, I don't know if they're considering that or looking for another solution.

Tiane
09-16-2004, 04:46 PM
They should just have it set a character flag upon a successful epic check, so it doesnt matter if your epic winds up staying on your corpse for days, you still have the flag. Kinda a nobrainer imho.

The Monkey's titles will be fixed soon, it was an honest "spellcheck" type mistake, the Apostles will have their own titles soon enough.

rogue epic name is actually swashbuckler ( at least it is for females )

Female Monks may chose Sister (instead of Brother) for appropriate AA's, and Female Clerics may chose Curate (instead of Deacon) for completing Epic 1.0.

Great thread!

I agree with Auralee about the rogue epic title, it must be swashbuckler because I'm weilding it offhand and I dont have any ragebringer title available but swashbuckler is.

Have a couple titles available that I'm not sure what they are for

I've seen the title for Druids, Forest Scion, floating around ... I was wondering if this is the title you earn upon getting epic 1.5/2.0 or is it an AA title...? I want it o.o lol

Tiane
11-03-2004, 05:21 PM
Ya that's the epic1.5 title. Prolly get a different one for 2.0.

On a side note...

The Monkey's titles will be fixed soon, it was an honest "spellcheck" type mistake, the Apostles will have their own titles soon enough
My monk still cannot choose Transcendent, despite having had my epic since 2001...

My monk still cannot choose Transcendent, despite having had my epic since 2001...

I discovered what seems to be a bug (or coding oversight) soon after getting epic 1.5. After a death, when the staff is on corpse, the "Forest Scion" title disappears from over my head, and from the Title window. When I reequip the staff, the tag doesn't automatically come back; I must go into the Title window and re-select it.

What a pain in the ass. An earned title should always be present, regardless of what you're holding, even if you're butt nekked on a CR.

Anyway, I was thinking if you haven't tried this already, maybe try equipping your monk's old epic staff, then look at the Title window... Transcendant might appear.

Would like to add something. I know that if monks get all their class AA's they get more titles... I am assuming (assumption, the mother of all... ) hehe, beside the point, i'm assuming if we get all our class AA's as well we would also have more choices.
I'm a few AA's from finding out myself however

Edit: I do mean class tab btw in case it comes into question

i think titles based on AAs would be great too.
like all your archetypes gives you a title, all your class gives you a title, achieving 250, 500, 750, 1000, ALL gives title.
