So.... are these limited to the expansion or does everyone get them?

(I bought the expansion for the sole purpose of access to tasks and it turns out to be utterly pointless. So it'd be nice if there's some sort of reason I just blew £20/$35 when I could barely justify it in the first place.)

From the patch message...- Enjoy sunsets and moonrises viewed above EverQuest's new reflective water which is available for everyone, wherever there is static water, e.g. Oceans, seas and lakes. You can toggle the new water shaders on and off using the Water Swap button, under options>display>advanced.Your £20 got you the ability to ponder your reflection in any puddle anywhere; in Halas your breath becomes faintly visible (beats a Breathalyzer, I guess); and, most impressively of all, you can now demonstrate your ability to make tiny bubbles underwater! So much for the social game. :p

Actually the reflective water is broken. It doesn't reflect jack.

I two box on my computer after finally building one that could handle two instances with full graphics. After yesterday, in OOW, I could not even move with two instances running. I don't know what they broke, but they need to fix it. If I can't box my two accounts, I would rather not play at all.

The ranger I was grouped with last night couldnt even see the water. He thought it was great because he saw the mobs floating around like they were in mid-air...

I did like the new death affect of the mob appearing to evaporate but will have to find more features then that and the new spell slot to make me feel I spent the money wisely. I would have loved to seen more content but I spent my 4 hrs on last night LFG and helping newbies while everyone else was getting lv 67..

Still waiting to see more of the expansion but it looks a lot better than GoD so far.. we will see how much better.

My graphics were fine, in fact they were amazing.

The water looks great. I had the faint shimmer of the sky reflecting off it, but I could still see through it into the depths. Seen from a height it is amazing.

The shadows are so cool. A gimmick admitedly, but a very well done one.

The zones in OoW are spectacular! I spent half my time running around taking screenshots of it all. They really have created some really beautiful landscapes.

Check your advanced setting, but people were complaining about graphic problems last night. Most likely after patches it can take a few days for things to clear up. I saw the shimmer, under water breath bubbles and I’ve yet to go to the desert or cold region to see the effects there.

Shadow bogs my ATI 9600 pro down, which I found a bit discouraging, but then I’ve had issues with graphics since the directX patch.

To answer your question, everybody got the new graphics. I did not buy OoW and I can see the new water and the new corpse death affects.

I wonder if those with booboo the pet bear have the same affect Beastlords are saying, when you go invis your pet does a death animation instead of disappearing.

I thought there were supposed to be new character models and such again? PFFT.

Actually the reflective water is broken. It doesn't reflect jack.
Hmm, maybe Jack is a vampire? ;)

Last night grouping with a wizzy, when he would zone, his familiar would take a nose dive staight into the ground like it was shot out of the air. Was pretty cool to see. Nice little touch. I suspect everyone with pets has a similar reaction.

i didn't have any problems with my graphics and for the most part i am happy with the improvments.
the only thing i don't think i like is the real time shadow effects...the npc's faces looked like garbage. maybe there is a setting i am missing or something, but that is the one 'effect' i don't think i will be using.

BTW your water doesn't reflect the sky or sunsets either :b

Most of the graphic lag problems seem to be caused by the shadow effect. Try turning that off and see if your 2 box will work, that is what I did.
