That describes the problem. I zone in, turn or move, and crash either to a multi colored screen or balck screen. I have to physically turn off the computer and restart it, and it happens again and again (making getting out a nasty challenge).
I'd been getting a message about loading a new video driver for my video care (mobile radeon 9000, if I recall). I did load the latest driver from ATI (the maker) but it isn't the driver that the EQ prompt says it should be. It's the latest driver that ATI has.
I play on a laptop that's a couple years old. 1Gig Ram, plenty of hard drive, and a 64 bit video card. 2.2 Gighz processer (Pentium mobile one). So I think the system SHOULD be up to minimum specs. It plays pretty darned well everywhere else. I think this is an OoW specific issue, and not an overall EQ issue.
I play with old models only (because I think the new ones are frowny in comparison), with spell effects and stuff all off.
Can anyone suggest any way to help me manage to play in an OoW zone, please?
Thanks!
