I was thinking about going for a 20/0/31 build for pvping, i could moonfire wrath spam a lot then use innervate when i get low on mana. And also use natures swiftness for a quick heal

anyone think this might work well in pvp? not really bothered about pve instances.

Yeah, that spec will work, but personnelly, im going feral/balance for PvP.

Are you alliance? If so, that strategy won't work so well as you will have Innervate purged by a shaman before the first tick if you are using it in combat.

Yeh im alliance...damn shamans hehe

How will they know im using innervate? is there some kind of visual effect?

They know because they cheat. There are addons that look specifically for spells being cast and automatically purge them. It happens so fast that I don't even both using nature's swiftness when I am around shaman. They purge it off you before you can even go NS -> HT.

You can only have 1 spell cast per macro.

Granted, I'm horde so I don't have to deal with shammy's in BGs... but can't you just cheeta outta range.. or wait till there's no shammy around? I don't innervate when a shadow-priest or felhunter is on me.... Plus for every shammy that's smart, there's 2 more who don't even realize Purge is a druid killer.

i reckon i can instant heal myself before a shaman notices

also warlocks felhunters can dispell it

i reckon i can instant heal myself before a shaman noticesThey don't have to notice, it happens automatically with the addon installed. And no matter how fast you think you can key your Healing Touch after keying Nature's Swiftness, the addon is faster than you.

but can't you just cheeta outta range.. Yup, and that's what I do, get outta range and then use NS+HT.

some addons just ruin the game i think

/agree

I love how Blizzard has embraced the addon developer community, but I wish they didn't leave the game so wide open to taking all the work/thought out of playing. Don't get me wrong, I use tons of addons, but anything that thinks for you just takes the challenge out of it.

I duel shaman on a regular basis with a 1/11/39 build and rarely ever lose. Most of those mods also stop instant casting when mana gets to a certain level and, by the time I'm normally use innervate, their mana is below the mod's cap. I like your spec. I think it focus's on what I use to win at pvp the most, the ability to outlast my oponent. I have to admit though, my raiding spec and gear vs. a holy/disc raiding priest and their gear makes for one loonnnnnngggggg fight (longest so far was 30 minutes and the priest just gave up and let me kill him instead of wasting more time).

Any addon that _automatically_ casts a spell or uses an ability, without any user intervention required, is against bliz's addon policies. You can make a giant "PURGE!!" button appear in the middle of the user's screen, and even make it target the person who is to be purged, but you can't actually perform the purge spell (legally) from the addon alone.

If you try, the warden will get you! :O

Just to put a good word in for shamans - They suffer from the totem target add on that lets people take out their totems with 1 push of a button.

Anyone using automatic anything is worthless imo. Yeah I said worthless.

I've been looking for a totem targeting mod!

Can anyone give a link?

i just made a macro to target myself cast natures swiftness and cast healing touch, it does it instantly so i doubt it could be purged fast enough.

Another macro for Moonfire (Totem Destroyer)- (Credit to Darke)

/target Earthb
/target Flameto
/target Fire N
/target Grace o
/target Groundi
/target Healing S
/target Magm
/target Mana
/target Poiso
/target Seari
/target Sentr
/target Stone
/target Strength o
/target Trem
/target Wind
/cast Moonfire(Rank 1)

NOTE: Almost every totem is listed above and you will run out of space. Just delete the /target lines that you don't want or care about.

From Darke: List the totems in the order you want to destroy them, from least important to most important. Spamming the button will simply start at the bottom of the list and target totems, drop Rank 1 Moonfires on them, and work its way up until everything that fits the criteria is gone.

how many can you fit in one macro? Can I just make 2 or 3 buttons and stroke them all to know I was covered? I'm afraid I don't know enough about totems to prioritize.

not sure how many lines you can have in a macro, but these are the ones I would want to get rid of in order of importance:

Earthbind Totem (slows you down)
Searing Totem (blasts you with fire damage)
Magma Totem (blasts you with fire damage)
Mana Tide Totem (restores lots of mana to anyone around it)
Mana Spring Totem (restores mana to anyone around it)
Healing Stream Totem (heals anyone around it)
Windfury Totem (gives extra attacks to anyone around it)
