I'm a third of the way into level 42 and I've completed the majority of quests in Stranglethorn Vale. I visited Tanaris already, but I don't really care for the desert environment.

And I've been disappointed with the PuGs I've found for instances my level (my friends are all 60 and hitting the high-level instances).

Does anyone have some suggestions on some fun/interesting zones to visit for the next few levels?

I think I spent a large portion of my 40s in Feralas, Tanaris, STV and a bit in Swamp of Sorrows.

Might want to check those areas if you haven't already.

If you're alliance might want to head north and check some stuff by South Shore and into Altrac Mountains, don't remember the levels exactly, but I think it was around that.

Southshore is much lower than that if I remember right. I think I recall running through there and not aggroing anything unless I literally ran it over. I think it's low to mid 30s.

Alterac Mountains has some quests up there. Not sure the lvl though.

I think I hit Hinterlands at that level. After I did most of the quests I killed a bunch of wolfs mostly. They went down pretty fast, I had a exp tracker and I was getting more exp flat out solo grinding then I was grouped or doing quests too. That and all the wolf steaks you can eat.. :)

The Hinterlands, eh? I ran there sub 40 to get the flight path at Aerie Peak. I'll definitely do some exploring there since it's close to Ironforge (bindpoint) and the scenery looked cool, too, from what I did see.

I'll aslo check out Feralas. One of my guildmates complained about the constant rain since the patch. Oh well, I'll give it a shot, too.

I did the Alteric Mountains quests that required me to kill 15 Warmongers and the Preserving Knowledge quest (worn book & 5 dropped books). I'm not sure I of any other significant quests to do at 42 in that region.

There's a quest that starts in the SW church ( basement of ) where you have to kill a named were those Ogres are. Reward is something over a gold, but I don't remember the lvl.

I would suggest:
-Tanaris (for at least one more level...those pirates are fun to kill...cmon!)
-Feralas (Feral Scar Yeti cave I think is 43-45s? and then you can do the Rage Scar Yeti cave which is I think 47-49)
-Swamp of Sorrows (Haven't been there too much myself. Heard decent things from there)
-Hinterlands (Not that bad.)
-STV (can't remember exactly what level the naga in STV near booty bay are..quite decent for grinding...same with a naga place in feralas...not sure where it is..)
