For those of you who have guilds that are downing Onyxia, how often does this friggin thing drop? Ive killed her 3 times now in the past month and gotten 3 Halos of Transcendednce, 1 Nemesis, 1 Netherwind, and 1 Bloodfang.

Ive already noticed the craptastic drop rate of Cenarion stuff in MC having seen only a few of the pieces drop more than once on about 10 clearings of MC for our guild. (not that I want much of it anyway) Is this just a string of bad luck for us druids in my guild or should I come to expect clearing an instance several times for one piece....

P.S - All I ever heard from other guilds was about how much druid stuff dropped in MC/Ony but that is definatly not the case for my guild. It seems mages/priests/locks get all the love.

When I was on my warrior, Might wouldn't drop but Cenarion did

When I'm on my Druid, everything BUT cenarion/SR drops

When I went on my priest, two(02) SR pants dropped and one got DE'd

...

The only thing I can tell you is to go every time her cooldown is up, and be there every run.

Yeah I plan on it. Its a pain in the arse to stay on top of the dkp list for weeks on end just to get the first SR cover though....

I just hope that once druid stuff starts dropping, it drops consistently and then I can watch all the other classes cry about how their crap never drops. I almost /wrists when I saw 2 Halos dropped. Its a shame I outheal all the priests in the guild....

Try having other people form the raid - I've heard things about "raid ID"s affecting the drops???? Can't confirm though...

To your original question: Stormrage Cover has dropped 4 times (about 1/month) - we do Ony once/week at least

It's just random, there was a blue post stating all the supersitions surrounding what loot spawns are unfounded.

I've heard you should blow your load on the SR pants, not cover. Once alot of guilds move on from MC and Rag, the Tier2 pants become the hardest piece to get of the set.

My guild prob has around 15 or so Ony kills, and 3 SR helms to show for it... just takes some patience.

Well, regardless, I still don't have one (never drops when I am there!)

Oh I will make darn sure I have the first piece if Stormrage that drops each time....

I know IT SUCKS, I've been to Ony. over 25 times, NEVER and I repeat NEVER has the DAM Druid Helm dropped yet!

I have given up, I know there is a F___ing bug and Blizz. won't fix it.

I'm so mad about that, please everyone put in a help bull ticket about it so they can see there is a problem, please

If i can make one recommendation is that if your guild is nearing Rag, killing Rag or Farming Rag stop bidding on everything and wait for your Tier2 pants.

My guild just officially took MC off the raiding schedule to focus on AQ40 twice a week to prepare for Naxx. There are so many players that are 5/8, 6/8, and even 7/8 tier2...all of them missing their pants. Now that MC is no longer "officially" on our raiding schedule we have Tier2 raiders looking to hop on runs with other guilds' Alts &/or newer guilds that run MC on off nights.

Ony still gets farmed because most raiding guilds can down her in under 12 minutes.

Well, the way TierX set pieces are going to work moving forward is that they will be reputation based and not dropped.

Now instead of waiting for your set piece to drop, you'll get to compete against 2-4 other classes for a unique item drop to turn in with other materials to get your set piece.

I'm not sure which methodology I prefer yet as I don't have any AQ set gear yet.

Id be pissed if by 10 kills Onyxia hasnt dropped Stormrage, let alone 25. I feel some of your pain wind....

You know what sucks also, I'm feral so if that dam helm would drop, I wonder if I'm allowed to buy it out before a resto druid! I've waited the longest for that helm.

I wish my guild would do AQ40, I want the set from in there and the feral one handed mace that is a quest inside AQ40!

Dude.. I did Ony over 40 times before I got me SR cover. Saw it drop 3 times i think it was. What's the odds? :/

How many tier 2 helms drop per kill? With the 8 classes I would expect around 30 kills to see it 3 times, if only one drops each time. 40 is just some bad luck.

Mort, 2 tier 2 helms drop off Onyxia every time you kill her. However, the same two helms can drop (which is f'ing ridiculus) which happened to my last ony run when 2 Halos of Transcendence dropped.

We are killing her again tonight and Im on top of the dkp charts so if it drops its mine.....wish me luck.

Well we downed her again last night....bloodfang and netherwind f'ing again. So thats 0/8 on 4 runs.

I really hate the randomness of drops too. It sucks to see items drop that people no longer need. We only have 3 druids in our guild and we'll still see SR cover drop, even though we have like 5 pallies and hunters w/o their T2 helms. Keep raiding and don't give up.

(I am an unguilded free mercenary druid often filling in different guild-raids in the past)

Got an invite to a guild run. Stormrage cover dropped. They are a no DKP free rolling guild who lets all guest roll (subject to a few exceptions, but that's why I like their openness) but I figure the guild druid who's been coming all the time should get it so I passed.

Then it dropped 1-2 times on this inter-guild raid that I help with since from time to time, but I never win the roll. Yes, it's a free roll system.

Then I got another subbing invitation from a DKP-point guild another afternoon, and it dropped again. All their druid had it so I rolled against the guild shard--I lost. But the GM figures might as well make it a present for me since I was the only druid there without. Plus a nice recruitment piece. (Raid geared unguilded druids are rare on my server).

So now I walk around with moose head now, and still unguilded. The moral of the story?

The guest gets all the treats?
And of course, Stormrage cover does drop...

Three months, seen one SR hat drop. I was on top of DKP.. too bad I was at work. Same week, Rags drops SR pants.. you guessed it.. working. At least the #2 druid got some awesome upgrades.. too bad she's moonkin. Them's the breaks, maybe I'll still be on top 3 months from now when the next one drops. Getting sick of seeing paladin and warlock helms getting DE'd.

I've been raiding and killing her for, oh... more than a year now, still don't have my moose horns.

Mind you, that's also because every time it has dropped (about 4-5 times now) another druid has had more DKP than me :)

Went there a few nights ago again, didn't drop again, 2 and I mean 2 warrior helms drops, this is bugged! and no one tells Blizz. except me!

We've been going to Ony for some months now.

First time we downed her it droped , lucky me was on top of DKP then(we use a zero-sum DKP- one epic removes all your DKP), and I got it.

Now all regular, 4-5 druids have the moose horns after a couple of months, so the drop rate is far higher then any of the other sets, from my xp.

But then the cenarion bracers havent droped once over the last 3-4 months in MC .. so I guess it evens out in the long run.
