I first started on a brand new server and spent every am in the ah making money (usually flipping wool cloth or other items). I made a ton and then basically started playing my character. Never worried about money ever since :)

My advice...stick to 1 toon and get it to 60. This is coming from an alt-a-holic. It took me a while to get my first 60....but the second one gets a lil easier.

As for what you should be doing....just depends...are you a grinder or a quester?

I can understand that servers suck....that's why I usually play on a server with some RL friends that play. I have left behind a level 60 Priest.....but that is because I just got sick of all the guild drama in all the guilds on Dramatan.

Now that they allow server transfer (for a fee)....you don't have to give up your 43....you coulda just moved it instead of starting over....just a thought though.

How much? Where do you do this?

You can do it through the Account Management part on the Official WoW site. I think it's like $25....can't remember for sure. The only catch is you have to stay on the same server type (Normal can't go to a PvP server...etc.)

It's not like the character transfer they did before....only from one specific server to another specific server. I don't know for sure....but I think you can choose between the other servers of the same type that have this option available.

I don't know the specifics of it....I've been thinking about doing this with my priest....but gotta make sure it would be worth the money first. Gonna look into it at a later time....having too much fun with the Druid!

What bugs me is I first started a long time ago playing on my boyfriends account (before I had the money to get my own). When I finally got my own account, they said they can't transfer characters from one account to another........and now they offer that service too. But the poor 'lock is long gone now.

Belle, you should get up in Blizzard's face about that! :lmao:

Well she got deleted because my boyfriend was never going to play a 'lock (funny thing is he ended up creating a 'lock alt a few weeks ago). Oh well...nothing I can do about it now.

Actually, you still can't transfer from another account to another account, unless you own both accounts, AND the last names match. I tried transferring my friend's rogue off his account to mine via the paid transfer, and it rejected me because I did not match all the requirements for the transfer. eg. last name. :(

Actually I believe it is only last names matching, because I know a married couple that was switching an toon the wife made before she got her own account....and they paid to switch it over. So unless they put his name on both accounts, it just has to be last name.
