I dunno how to describe what I want in a way that makes sense, so I am doing it this way.

Goal: Aggressive moonkin (alittle pvp, alittle pve...currently not raiding)

Current situation:
I am playing (what I think atlease) is an aggressive feral build. I got around 22-23% chance to crit, and hold aggro well in bearform (it helps I swipe and maul like crazy).
Current build

Problem:
I would like to be thinking fast, and planning ahead so I am forced to be alert, and able to switch roles fairly easily and quickly (out of mana? go catform if DPS, adds? switch to healer or throw innervate and go assist in tanking). I would like to go moonkin...reminds me of the druid of the talon in W3, it is fun in pvp, looks like a good idea in raids and...ermmm...I just like them. As a feral, I just really don't care for downtime.

With catform speed

More caster-style

Thanks!

Also a side note: Insect swarm is in the resto branch, not castable in moonkin form?

Sorry about double posting, but I probably should mention I love to hit and run...and love to be an instrument of self destruction.

Moonkin without insect swarm...I dunno. I'd trade balance crit strike for insect swarm and some feral -

31/11/9's kind have that point breakout for a reason -

But then, we support heal pve well without resto talents -

I think I'm just fixated on HotW's benefits on both the caster and feral sides.

A couple of things:

1. Moonglow is perhaps the most important of all balance talents. It is your best tool for fighting oomkin stereotypes, and it makes you a more viable healer as well for when you need to switch roles (better than tranquil spirit since it effects more spells). IMO all balance builds must have this talent maxed.

2. I like the playstyle you are going for. However, if you will be shifting a lot (and you should) you will get more mileage out of furor than improved mark, so shift those points in the resto tree.

3. Reflection sounds great (in light of #1 as well), but unless you really want that many points in resto for other reasons, the benefit is marginal compared to other uses of those points. Now with innervate, I wouldn't worry about it.

4. If you are going to go past 10 points in feral, definitely take feral charge. One of the big weaknesses of moonkin is no silence or real spell interrupt power like other casters. Its a little ghetto with all the shifting, but FC can help fill this void.

5. In your more caster oriented version, you would probably be better off trading out natural weapons and OOC for iSF. Don't get me wrong, I love my OOC, but that doesn't mean it is right for every build. Regardless, I would always try to put at least one point in iSF for even a remote chance to stun, it is one of the abilities that makes a balance druid unique.

Taking the above into consideration, I come up with something like this:
