Hi guys.

I just recently hit lvl 51, and I am loving my feral/resto druid more and more

What I was wondering if you guys could give me some pointers about 50+ feral gear.
I have been doing Mara for a little while and a few ST runs.
(Tanking Mara was fun) :texla:

I really enjoy tanking, so I'll be looking at some good +sta gear, and hopefully some +armor and +str/AP

I would have setup a ctprofile now, but I'm at work - but I will try to do it later today and post it on here asap.

Thanks for any advice though!

Cheers, Brekster - 51 NE druid

Well, you're in the right instances. Keep going. Also, try to grab the caster leather that drops in ST so you could go resto at 60.

Resto at 60 ? No thanks mate :)

Seriously, I will try to join a end-game raid guild - but if they tell me to spec resto, forget it.. Im going 0/30/21 - thats as much resto they will get..

Im not gonna pay $$ for someone else to tell me what and how to play.

Thanks for the reply though ;) Appreciate it

Alot of people will tell you not to do this but I always kept a lookout in the ah for geens with the stats I wanted right then vs waiting for specific items to drop in instances (which can sometimes take forever).

I agree, chagne guilds if they demand resto spec. F&^% them!

For times when you are going cat instead of tanking, look for str gear.

Thanks for the input..

I have focused on STA for quite a while and have a pretty nice HP pool in bearform selfbuffed (close to 5K)

But I see that I have almost the double in agility than strength..

Is this something I should consider visa versa? I mean double of strength in stead of double in agility?

Pardon my grammer (norwegian)

Sure stam is nice and agility is nice but

Str = AP = FTW

Druids (especially horde side) are so needed, I have yet to be asked what my spec is when they see me unguilded in IF/SW.

The thing that always got me was pre-Innervate talent. People would ask me: "do you have innervate", which i did (0-20-31)...however, ask my how many times I used it on anyone else but myself...

I would innervate priests only to see them get marginal returns on the innervate because they had not properly geared/libramed themselves...So, I just saved it for myself. hehe.

Awww HELL NO!

I end-game OT and MT w/o any issues and am seeing more feral gear available to me to make my build more viable and real, so don't go spouting that 'go get Queer Gear and be a HealBot' crap to the younger Druids here, sonny!

FERAL FTW!

Learn to be accepting Doc. Not every druid out there will be allowed to tank endgame, unless they are lucky enough to join a guild short on warriors that already has MC / BWL / AQ40 on farm status. And, whoa, some even... get this... like healing! Most guilds that are just learning endgame instances will have tanks that are geared / speccd for them, and will be light on healers. And guess what... Druids are damn good healers.

Most of us that are now resto leveled heavy feral, know how to play feral, understand and respect and love feral, and have since respecced in order to benefit the group of friends that we play with. And have done so willingly.

Brekster, 0/30/21 is a good 'feral resto hybrid' build. Rocks for both pvp and pve. Doesn't hurt to have good sets of gear for whatever situation you find yourself in.

The more healing I do and the more healing gear I get, the more I enjoy healing. Tier 2 legs and helm are pretty freaking sweet.

Yeah, I am just now getting into an end game guild and am fully expecting the guild to ask me to heal vs tank/dps. While I could choose to keep looking for an end game guild that is looking for a tanking/feral druid, I enjoy the people I play with.

I just don't advertise that I have feral gear and talents as they may not see or feel the difference anyway.

Besides, when pugging, how often to you see "LFM-NEED Non-Resto Druid".?

Good idea :). I carry my tanking and dps sets with me at all times, just in case a tank DC's and I need to drop into bear to pick up his slack while he relogs, or something weird happens. Which doesn't happen that much at all now that I'm main healer - our other 30/21's now get to do this, but it used to happen a lot when we were still learning. "Clari, throw on your bear gear and pick up this corehound" on the way to Mag, or "Clari, take this add, then pop out and heal" at Garr. Occasionally if tanks aren't paying attention and an add takes a liking to our priests, I'll HoT myself, strap on my warden staff, bear up and take the mob back to the tanks.

The other day all the tanks died b/c of lag / healers being stunned at the entrance to Geddon's room, and we still had 2 priests 2 pallies and heaps of dps up. I wasn't too keen on wiping, so I shouted over Vent "I got aggro" and grabbed the remaining 2 mobs, and kept them while dps burned em down. Healers were on point with keeping me alive. Super fun. Saved the wipe, and it was pretty cool to hear people cheering on the resto druid.

Clari,

I love situations like that. We had one similar to that at Sulfuron and his 4 priestly buddies. Somehow one of the tanks died within the first 15 seconds and my tank had already pulled his priest to the "kill zone" and the priest was being DPSd down. I cast 2 HoTs on me, strapped on my Warden Staff and picked up the loose priest that had run over and started to cause havoc on the main tank and his healers. I died just as I pulled the priest into the kill zone, but he went down, followed quickly by the other 2 preists and Sulfuron.

Good times....Good times...

It is times like that which you described that make playing this class worth it.

Completley agree. It gets boring sometimes on errorless MC / ZG / AQ runs when I just sit back and heal, and rarely have to use NS or Swiftmend or anything. Kinda fun to have those "oh $&*% moments where druid healing, or druid tanking save the day. In the case of the former (healing) rarely do people realize that we just saved that tank's ass with a 4k NS HT crit, and assume the priests did something. No glory for the druids /sigh. lol. Except, of course, for circumstances like those described earlier.

I've been playing my lock a lot to get away from guild drama, but all of a sudden really want to play on Clari again. druid<3

I have a mage, lock, pally and rogue as alts and always find myself going back to either of my 2 druids. Even in just day to day grinding, the versatility is just so much fun.

I'm also pretty lucky to be in a guild where they have seen the value in my versatility. Often times if a tank goes down, I hear over TS "Kyane, I need you to pick up ______ for a second".

Time to go home and smack Onyxia upside the head. I got my Stormrage helm a week or so ago and my Stormrage pants on Sunday. Now I go to cheer on the rest of our druids in hopes they can gear up =D
