OK - Let's play the Acronym Game.

This is for all of us who read the threads in an attempt to learn how to play the game better, and keep running into Acronyms that mean absolutely nothing to us.

So, can somebody fill in the blanks for me on the following?

PUG (group)

DPS

NERF - OK I should probably know this, it's everywhere on this site. I DO know it's not good :)

And, can anyone who is kind enough to reply to this thread please throw in a couple of defined acronyms just for the heck of it? Believe me, it will help more people than you realize. I KNOW I am not the only person shaking their heads when they see all the Acronyms on this site.

PuG = pick up group ( ie a random group of players or even a single person that you found to group with )

DPS = Damage Per Second

NERF = A nerf is a change that is seen as a reduction in power or performance. The last patch, bear druids experienced a damage nerf ( we can do much less damage now while in bear b/c of changes to talents that no longer increase our damage in bear ).

Anything else?

There are so many others ill list some here
Rofl- rolling on floor laughing (many more versions of thiss which i wont list)
Stfu-shut the f*ck up
FFS- for f*cks sake (generally used to shout at healers in PuGs)
ZF- zul'farrack
CoT- caverns of time

They have the definition of NERF right. It refers to the NERF company as well. NERF toys were foam and not liable to hurt anyone. So in essence, that's why people accuse someone of hitting them with the NERF bat. In essence making their attacks negligible.
