I've seen posted here before that bear tanks don't have to worry about +hit. However I have noticed that I am missing at an alarmingly high level against 25 man Bosses...WowWebStats is showing a miss rate of around 11% to 17%.

This seems extremely high to me, especially early in fights, where one miss could mean the difference between maintaining aggro and causing a wipe.

Anyone able to suggest some items that are decent for bear tanks that include hit, or good gems for adding hit.

There are a couple of items from SSO rep and MgT that give quite a bit of expertise. I believe that expertise is just as good, if not better, than +hit and it is easier to find on tanking pieces (Blizzard must want us tanks to use it rather than +hit).

Expertise is about twice as good as hit on a per-point basis until you get enough expertise to remove 6% of parries and dodges. Then it becomes about as good as hit is. The only exception is that hit improves your taunt's resist chance. Expertise is the best stat to improve your threat on a per-point basis. It's also one of the best ways to improve your survivability, thanks to removing parries from the boss's table.

FWIW, here is a list (http://www.wowhead.com/?items=4&filter=minle=90;ub=11;cr=117;crs=1;crv=0) of 17 druid usable items (except weapons) that have expertise. Not many to pick from. And a few are not tanking pieces.

The Brooch of Deftness (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33296) (+22 HR, +21 ER) is only 35 badges.

What kind of HR should I aim for with PvP? Those pesky rogues with their damn dodges piss me off sometimes...

hit rating won't help against dodges, only misses. Expertise helps with dodges.
