Anyone run across any NPCs that they simply *must* exact revenge on when you get high enough level? (Think of Kizdean Gix from EQLive)

For me, it's the Son of Arugal... a level 23-24 Elite shaman NPC in the SilverPine forest area. He has a huge agro radius and can kill most 11-13 players (who are hunting in that area) in mere seconds... he officially has made My List (tm) ;)

Any others that people have run across?

THere's this level 13 (I think) elemental in the NE area, it's been a while so I've forgotten his name, but he hangs out in a cave with at least one or two adds. I took him on as a lark at level 10ish, and was very surprised to find that his health went down like 5% after I unloaded all my mana on him with my druid. Needless to say... I ran.

Haha, I can relate to the Son of Arugal. I made an undead warrior during the first stress test, and I swear he was stalking me! Snuck up and killed me like 5 times in one day, all in different locations in the zone. The last time, a friend and I were way up by Skitterling Dark, and I even saw him roaming near there! Fortunately he didn't aggro that time.

From playing night elf, I want to go back and kill Sethir, the satyr thing on the northern tip of Teldrassil... I came across him by accident, and he summoned up 5 friends or so and quickly killed me. :P

Hehe, yeah. I was playing my UD rogue. I got killed by Son of Arugal, so I made a mental note to avoid that part of the woods. Then I got killed by him again quite a ways away from the first place, then yet again in a totally different place. He sure gets around. The only time I've seen him and lived was when he was busy killing another player and I managed to run off :)

Argh! Son of Arugal is evil! He is definitely getting killed by me multiple times when I am high enough level. I have actually seen two of him in the same time in that zone, lol!

Yeah, Son of Arugal needs to die. He jumped my little UD rogue while she was gathering herbs. :\

The other two are in Darkshire: Mor'Ladim and Stitches. They really need their asses beat into the ground by a level 60. :D

Stitches was the only must kill for me hehe.

But then I'm a paladin. No NPC kills me if I don't get sloppy. Brave Sir Aidoq baby!

Mor'Ladim for me. I think he would agro from halfway across the graveyard.

Hmm, I had never heard of this guy until I read this thread. I went home that night and got killed by him twice!!

LOL, it's contagious!

Or... maybe he's reading this forum and sees that you know others of his victims... and he figures he needs to get you to ;)

Arugal's son tops my list. He killed my undead warrior while she was picking flowers.

Verog the Dervish needs to die many times just for being annoying to everyone in the Barrens, along with Polly.

SQUAWK!

Another one to add to my list.. Mor'Ladim, at Raven Hill in Duskwood... level 35 elite roaming undead, near a bunch of 25s. Killed me twice. :P

Edit: Oh, I see he already got mentioned too.

Ah yes, I remember Mor'Ladim. I actually got my revenge on him
solo at 34. Took 3 minutes, a lot of root & dot'ting, and 2 mana
potions to kill him, but I did it. Half the people in the graveyard
were standing around watching and cheering me on; I got quite
a few congratulations in General chat once I dropped him.

His hits for 90s every second don't do much good when he can't
get in range to swing at me. :p

Ok, Mor'Ladim and Stitches are on the list now after doing a couple levels in Duskwood :)

I died to Stitches last night and see him all the time. Mor'Ladim got me 4 or 5 times this morning in about 2 hours. He has a big agro radius and seems to roam a wide area :(

Yes I am going to go back and kill stitches many times over. Darkshire's outer defense seems to be overrun enough to permit it.

Stitches and that durn dust devil in Westlands by the tower... He liked to sneak up on me when I was younger and hunting hogs there. Now I don't miss a chance to pay him back when I pass through.

Hey that reminds me... I'm high enough level to take out the Dust Devil now... :)

Revenge is coming! :D

Is it possible to expand the NPC list to many, many mid-lower level NPCs? I want to add the Blackfathom Naga to the list because I died every 10 feet in that place becuase a Myrmidon would spawn on top of me every time. =P

My revenge will be on that Level ?? Red Dragon in Hillsbrad, down the river a ways. It hits for over 600. Kills me pretty quickly.

Ah, Narillasanz! Cute dragon, but definatly a raid encounter. Level 44+ dragon hit for for only 200s I think, but has a nice 400 AE which took em hard.

Then again, it's been a bit since I played with her. Could have been harder. I just recall testing out her strenghts and she's pretty tough.

I got my revenge on Stitches. SOB didn't have a chance. :)

I helped kill a 44-45ish elite red dragon that someone had trained up to Alterac, but it didn't seem very hard. Only took 3 people to kill it. Might have been a different one, though, can't remember the name.

I don't think she'll be hard if you had the right class (ie a warrior or paladin tanking). As a rogue, I didn't take to well to her attacks. And I think her AE will be frontal only, too.

Did her with a group on the way to SM one night Warrior 44 Priest 41 2 Druids 37 and 36 (I think) and Mage 38. Only real problem we had was with the Lions adding and jumping on the Priest, but we kept them mezzed for the most part.

I finally slew Mor'Ladim and wrenched his cursed sword from his cold dead fingers!

/em crosses him off the list

I helped a guard kill Stitches one day. I watched and waited until Stitches got clear into Darkshire. A level 44 guard attacked him solo. A high level priest healed the guard and buffed him. I sent in my pet and whacked at Stitches backside with my flaming warlock sword! I probably ended up doing ~100 damage and the pet did more than that so there :p

That's the one. Not sure if level may have anything to do with it, but I was only 20 or so. And I am 99 percent positive it was a 600+ hit. Was there helping my wife with a turtle quest.

Edit- My sig is 33 pixels too long, sorry.
Edit again- Fixed

Wow, ive like never gone to Silverpine besides to get to SM. didn't realize people actually hunted there:P

I never really hated any NPC in specific, but i was doing a southshore quest the other day, and i had to kill these footpads and theifs, and up by the camp was this like lvl 30 pvp npc, and i didn't realize it and i killed the dude, which in turn put me in pvp. about 2 minutes later, a group of 5 lvl 40-45 orcs ran on by, but had to trample over me first :/

so i stay away from that npc now.

Silverpine is the undead's main 10-20 hunting grounds.

I have destroyed the son of Arugal numerous times now, as well as Verog the dervish! I feel so much better. :)

Ok, got a new one to add. Rexxar, level 40 elite wandering around in Desolace with a pet bear (Mischa I think). Tooled me a couple times this weekend.

Strange thing is, a guildmate is a Night Elf and he didn't agro on him, but he sure doesn't like humans :(

Tried to solo Narillasanz last night. She wasn't killing me quickly, but whenever I dropped bear to heal I'd take way too much damage. I'm thinking I and another healer could do her up just fine. (btw, my EQ Magelo is way outta date and I no longer play, is there WoW Magelo yet or something similar elsewhere?)

I use Allakhazam. I don't like their profiler page very much, but it's better and more frequently updated than Thottbot; http://wow.allakhazam.com/

Rexxar isn't one I "must kill" but he is annoying how he sneaks up on you from nowhere.

Yrys
01-03-2005, 12:10 PM
Wow, Rexxar is in game? That's pretty cool, I may have to go look for him sometime. :P

(He was the hero in the Orc expansion campaign for Warcraft III, for anyone who hasn't played that.)

Rexxar is 62? No wonder I died in about 2 shots :)

I could have sworn it said "40" not "??" ;)

If you want to find him, just take the road into Desolace and stand there for a while. You'll either see him or you'll get eaten by a pack of dogs that roams the area...

(trust me, I've seen them up close ;))

Mor'Ladim was one for me. I went back last night and soloed him. First attempt had a ghoul add at the beginning and they sent me running. Medded back up and had him solo til a spider added at the very end. Used one greater mana pot during the fight. Was a great feeling to kill him, especially with my 38 priest friend watching and calling for a nerf to druids at the end :)

Hehe I ran into Rexxar just last night for the first time in Desolace. Was exploring and filling in my map, all of a sudden my pet takes 2 hits and dies. I barely turn around when I get one-hit and I go flying off into the excavations near some friendly centaurs, with a brief view of some Orcish brute with an axe before descending into the pit and exploding on impact.

Thankfully I had a soulstone on, so I rez'd and dusted myself off and continued exploring... only reason I knew it was Rexxar was because the combat window said it was lol...

Those packs of dogs are scary too! At least you can avoid them hehe...

The bugged Furblogs in Ashenvale. They're eight of them all right on top of each other, so it looks like one furblog with 6 or 7 arms. I take great joy in going back and shredding those guys every once in a while.

Most annoying to date for me: Vicious Owlbeasts. I *really* hate fatal bite. I enjoy killing them.. they need to die.
