I've been bouncing back and forth. Is the Devilsaur set worth it for the ATK power increases it provides? Does the +90 Atk power increase (I forget the bonus for having the set) justify a trade off of about 30 str when it applies to Feral combat? Or is it better to leave that set alone and keep with the +str Gloves/Pants I'm wearing now?

When I worked it out, devilsaur gloves gave more atk power than whatever str/sta gloves I had. The pants did not have quite as much attack power as warbear pants, but it was close enough that I felt the crit bonus and set bonus made up for it. Plus, devilsaur pants don't look like wool underwear.

(I moved your dupe post to the trash, let me know if you need it back or anything. :))

Ah, thanks much haha. Sorry for the dupe post (I thought went into edit, must have hit back or somethin x_x.)

Alrighty then, I will probably go with the devilsaur set. I've been eyeing it for sometime now.

Money wise, on my server, the devilsaur was nutz. As my primary use of bear form is to hold aggro and get hit, the paultry dps I would realize as an increase by devilsaur made it not worth my buying. ( by paultry, I mean compared to the rogue hacking away at the victims back while I hold the aggro) The warbear harness however with it's 27 stamina is a big plus. The "paltry" +12 stamina of the devilsaur leggings can easily be beat by upper level eagle, matched by tresermane and other such gear more focused to holding a decent mana pool while bear, even the armor count is higher or equal on much more druid mana pool focused gear.

As for the gloves, again, their armor count can be bested by a few points for just a few gold and again, the =9 stamina is often beat out by most upper 50 gear. Slaghide gloves, for my play style is much more in line with the role of bear in end game.

That all said, I have the mats near complete and will certainly if I can catch the drop make a set of these for playing around. I would not however pay the near 200g the set would cost on my server for them as they are not end game gear.

Yeah, I wouldn't have bought the devilsaur. But if you have tribal leatherworking, it's pretty easy to make it (and the warbear stuff).

I maintain seperate sets of gear at the moment. One set geared exclusively for Mana/Casting, and a set Geared towards Feral combat exlusively. That's why I was thinking of getting Devilsaur. It doesn't cost near that amount, and I myself am I Maxed out Tribal Letherworker but farming for hours for Devilsaur leather is something I would otherwise spend time doing elsewhere to be honest, which is why I will probably purchase the set. At most the entire set is about 150 on my server, cheaper if I am patient enough.

Actually, once you get the roaming pattern of the devilsaurs down, you can usually do it pretty quick, especially during off-hours when no one else is hunting them. I did about half of it solo, then dragged a hunter friend over to help me kill them faster. :P

And yeah, I have entirely separate feral and caster sets as well. I do mix and match them a bit for PvP though.

Got bored the other day and bought the set. The set bonus is an increase of 2% chance to hit. The attack power is nice. The stamina isn't the best, but then again, its not a tanking set at all. I bought the set for cat dps (god knows i need it as a resto druid).

All in all, it may be overpriced a bit. But, again, i was bored. Plus it looks great with Embrace of the Lycan and some chestpiece from Badlands (its like +23agi) for downing the elite dragons. I'm decked out in red leather. mmmm...very 80s

I get eaten for 4 solid levels and now you tell me they have a pattern?

Haha, ya, they sorta do have a Pattern. Atleast from my experiences I just circled Around the Volcano and usually one would pop. I'de guess maybe 2 at most would be up at any given time, I got lucky one day. I found Tyrant, then Ironhide, then Tyrant, then the Regular Devilsaur back to back while hunting. Then I ran into King Mosh....>.>...my poor Druid...King Mosh showed no mercy...I will have my vengeance.

Anyone ever downed King Mosh? I took him on at 56 with 3 60s and a 58. We got demolished. My hunter friend beast lored him, and he said that Mosh had something like 10000 hp and 25000 armor or something ridiculous. He may have been just joking, im not sure, but after trying to fight him once, I believe it.

I wonder what he dropps? And do you get an Epic hide or something? My luck I'd get some Un'Goro Soil...

That shows each item and its drop rate. Looks like a decent chance he'd drop a green item, but that's it.

It also shows common hunting grounds for the King.

Enjoy!!

Downed Mosh w/ a 50 lock, 58 rogue, 60 druid and warrior and myself (53 druid at the time). Wow. He hits really hard and he does have insane hp. Definitely not worth the time and effort.

Props go to Icefreez; this should decrease the amount of time needed to get the 22 devilsaur leathers required for a full set.
