Afternoon all, Wondered if you could help?

Just hit level 29 and have to make a choice between a brace of staves. One is the Acrobatic staff of t'Eagle (+9 Int/Sta) and one is the bloodscalp staff of channeling (up to +19 nature damage on spells and effects). My question is...Does "Effects" include Thorns and Root or just wrath? If so that sounds too good to pass up on, given my play style, and the fact that the rest of my gear is Eagle based already. If not I'll go with t'Eagle Staff (comparable DPS)

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Eagle is preferred, but most your level already have farmed out the staff from the VC instance, don't recall the name, but it's the best available for your level. From there, you should be spamming for SM runs and drop doan for you illusionary rod which is what most keep for a very long time. I didn't replace mine till I caught a level 55 owl staff in the AH. From there, most I beleive either luck into an end game drop, or farm out the trindlehaven. I think the illusionary is about a level 34 item.

I have never, to my knowledge, seen + items carry over to roots or thorns.

blue staves you should be using: emberstone staff from deadmines, followed by the rod of the sleepwalker from blackfathom deeps, and then illusionary rod from sm. lvling up i wore a lot of green armor, but i don't think there's any reason for a druid to use a green weapon.

Aye, A lot of brother druids big up the Rod of the Sleepwalker, but my personal preference is for Int/Sta over Int/Spi (just love to see those big numbers in the top left corner!) So I havent bothered combing blackfathom for the rod, and was happy with t'eagle staffs throughout the 20's.

The channeling staff jumped out just because all the rest of the nature + items that I've seen so far say "+ 10 Nature damage from spells", while the channeling staff bothers to specify "Spells and effects", and the prospect of thorns hitting for a maximum of 28 damage got me all excited. But it appears from your guys comments that this isn't likely to be the case - doh! Never mind, back to the trusty eagle

There is a great staff from a WC quest called the Crescent Staff. +7 Stam/Int/Spi.

Horde only though isn't it Badge? Unless it is given out somewhere other than Thunder Bluff.

I couldnt tell you, I was guessing that the alliance would have the same quest reward.

Edit: Took a quick look at Thott, looks like it a Horde only thing. Oh well.
