Ya, I'm not gonna whine too long, but WTF*!"¤#¤%? This is a major gimp for me as a pretty heavy feral druid. Unbear/NS-heal is nomore.. i totally forgot myself and died because i tried it several times today. :(

Guess it's a fair change.. I just have to learn using only one weapon. :(

Thankfully I am a complete Newbie at the game. I started two weeks before the patch so I won't have to unlearn anything. It sucks that tactic doesn't work anymore. I was looking forward to playing the tank and the healer for myself.

I honestly don't see why this is an issue. Just manually swap your weapons when it's convenient, don't use a gimp addon.

Because I can't have gear with stamina str and agility to switch to in cat form. Then switch back to int/spi to have a ton of mana left to hit massive heals and spam moonfire.

I honestly don't see how you honestly don't see why this is an issue.

If you need to use an ability immediately after switching forms, don't swap your weapon. Then after you use the ability, swap. How hard is that? I guess for people who have come to rely on addons it will be tougher than those who haven't.

I will put in my 2 cents and say that this isn't an issue for me.

I'm having a problem understanding why people would want to swap equipment when they switch to caster form for a quick heal. (This is a genuine lack of comprehension, I'm looking to be educated not flamed). I can't see what good the example above would be. If I switch to Int gear my mana pool stays the same until I regen it (although the blue bar drops as my max mana is now larger). If you just popped out to heal - you will be back in form and Feral kit before you can benefit from either the larger mana pool or the increased mana regen rate due to the 5 sec cooldown.

Is it because people are switching to +healing weapons for the heal, then back to otther stat weapons in feral?

Might be. But I think it's just habit and addons. I myself have removed the switch-weapon-when-you-go-caster thingie. Not worth it.. better to manually do it.

I thought it was using feral and heal setups to macro switch?

You can only switch weapons (not overall healing gear) in combat. I have autoswitch to warden staff when I bear (get 1,5 sec cd on charge, but what can you do?).

Switching weapons when I get into caster form has been removed.

Hope I understood you question right. I'm a bit confused tbh. :-p

Sorry, got lazy. And I smashed my middle finger up, so it hurts to type because I only use my left-index and right-middle to type. =)

Can I just keep a setup for ac/sta/agil and such for being feral but still use a good staff to switch with when I want to heal? Or will this cost me in pvp fights?

You can only switch weaps in combat. So.. you can't really make a build for it for classes. You CAN otoh switch to warden staff as you bear. This is really an issue.. Switching to warden staff makes you way better in pvp versus some classes..ask any druid. :)

It may suck for us but it was a needed change. Warriors/Rogues are the main reason for the change and we just got caught in the global blanket. Warriors were swapping to a 2-hander for overpowers and mortal strikes, while tanking with sword and shield or dual-wielding. Rogues would use a slow weapon for Sinister Strikes and swap in a dagger for backstabs without breaking stride.

While I sympathize with with those that the change affects, I can honestly say that I have never used it.
