First off, I would like to say hi to everyone - I have been reading for a while, and just recently signed up and decided to post.

I just hit lv 40 last night with my NE Druid in STV (a.k.a gankenvale), though have been pretty bad about saving money.. AH was too tempting. At lv 40 after learning Dire Bear (w00t dire bear!) and hurricane (w00t hurricane!), as well as MoTW lv 6, tranq lv 2, etc., I am back down to about 27g.

I have been running SM with pickup groups a lot, and usually get about 2-5g or so worth of stuff to sell through vendors or on AH. In Gank-Vale I got some good stuff to sell, though the ridiculous amount of ?? horde rolling around there ganking me while I was fighting mobs (grrr.) kind of made me not want to go back.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can "farm" gold? Do you think that Mara or Ulda would be too tough for me at lv 40 in a group? I hear that there are great drops there. I cant wait to get my striped sabre mount, though want to earn it legit.

Also, slightly off topic - I was running around in auberdine last night, and every single NE there was a druid, with the exception of two priests and a hunter. I guess 1.8 really got ppl jazzed on Druids. Are other servers experiencing this massive druid rush as well?

Don't be so quick to leave SM.

If you have the correct spec, you can solo graveyard. I don't know what your current professions are, but grave moss can be picked up there on each run. If you are an enchanter, you are in luck. You can DE (discenchant) the item in the chest on the left side when you get to the actual graveyard & also solo the boss at the end of the instance and DE what you get from him.

All you hafta do is pay attention when you're stealthing through the tombs at the end and you should be fine. I just hit 53 last night (need to update sig) and still run SM instances for cash.

Cash farming kills kittens.

I'm an alchemist, and the grave moss is a good pickup. I have been running SM, though mostly cathedral / armory. I'll definitley spend some time soloing, or with another druid, in graveyard. I'll stay there for a while, at least until I can save up enough for my mount.


I think that "farming" is the wrong word. And I definitley do not want to kill kittens :( All I'm trying to do is gather gold (and exp) quickly for a mount.

Mage AE makes the GY go really fast.

I remember making about 10g a run in SM when adding up drops and cash collected from dead bad guys. I made an extra 4 runs or so just to pay for my mount. Being a skinner/leather worker, I didn't hit the grave yard. I just went on runs to help random people complete quests.
