I thought about posting this as a poll, but I couldn't think of enough options to fit.

World of Warcraft was released on November 23, 2004, so today makes it a year. How do you all think the first year has gone?

My viewpoint: WoW had a really rough start with server stability, but I haven't had any major problems with it for quite a few months now (other than the occasional queue). I like the questing system, the talents, and leveling characters up. I love the artwork and storyline that went into it. Mostly, I hope they add more single group content soon, with gear progression (i.e. epic items); I'd hate to see it turn into another EQ-style "raiding required" game.

To be honest, the server instability thing was no big surprise to me. Off of the top of my head I can not think of one mmog releast that didn't have issues.

I'm just glad Blizzard has spent most of their time making sure the game works on all levels and have not caved in to the players and all of their whiney "THIS IS AN IMORTANT CHANGE THAT MUST BE MADE!!1!!11" posts, as seen on the official forums. Blizz has stuck to their own guns, and for that I respect them. They are following a bigger picture of that which is the World of Warcraft and which no player can even begin to comprehend. I hope they continue this way and not go down the treacherous road that other not to be mentioned companies *cough Sony cough* have traveled.

/unintentional rant off

Happy Anniversary Blue. :hb2:
