Stuck behind the firewall at work, I'll post the stats/links when I get home tonight. However I want your opinions.

The Emberstone staff from Deadmines is a pretty nice staff for low level druids, it has +Sta +Spi +Int.

The Rod of the Sleepwalker from Blackfathom Deeps is also very nice with +10Int +11 Spi (I think I got the stats right, its in my profile). Naturally for casting this makes a great staff.

I have run Deadmines about 12 times, and I never got the staff, it either wasn't dropped, or it went to someone else in the group. I ran BFD yesterday and I got it on the first time. Now, I need your opinion. The RotSW is very one sided in its stats. The ES is better all around stats but has lower DPS and lower overall mana. Should I keep going though DM to get the Emberstone staff, or would you consider the RotSW an upgrade and just move on?

I would just take the sleepwalker staff and move on. At that level, by the time you get it, there might already be a better staff out there.

SM Library has a couple good ones if I remember right. (Level 35ish?)

Take the Sleepwalker rod. It is a great druid staff. If I remember correctly from your prior posts you are feral speccd atm, and thus the higher DPS will benefit you.

At lv 34 you can get an Illusionary Rod from Scarlet Monestary library, which has +9 stamina, +15 int, +11 spi, and like 34 or so dps. (I'm behind a firewall too, and cant look it up, so forgive me if I am off slightly here). Have you finished all the wetlands quests? If so, move on to SS, do a couple quests there, and before you know you will be lv 34 and ready to get in a pug to run library for your Illusionary Rod.

Also, around this level it will be worth it to start carrying two sets of armor, or at least 2 weapons. I carried the rod of the sleepwalker until I got to about 32, then I got a good 2h mace with +str +stam which I used situationally until I got my Illusionary Rod. Remember, you can swap weapons midfight, so If you start in caster form, use the +int +spi staff, then switch to a +str +stam mace (usually with higher dps) when you drop into feral. Gear cannot be swapped out in combat, but it is nice to have 2 sets of gear as well to be prepared for whatever situation you might encounter :)

Had Sleepwalker. I just got the Illusionary Rod last night. Claritondeus, you're spot on w/ the stats. :) Also, if you're going feral spec (like I am) run Gnomer for 2H mace drop. I forget what its called atm, but it has +16str and +5stam. Pretty godly for my lvl.

Anyways, just my thoughts. And I agree, always keep 2 sets of armor. One for feral (PvP and questing) and one for healing b/c in any instance there is always a lack of healers. ALWAYS.

Yeah. Great suggestion Yakiniku. In Gnomer the mace that drops is called the Manual Crowd Pummeler. In addition to the godly feral stats, it has a 3 charge proc to increase attack speed by 50% or so for a minute. Not sure exactly about the stats or proc, as I never used this for my druid, though I recently ran Gnomer three times for two young druids and a priest to get the druids both the mace, and the priest the acidic walkers and electro gigaflux hat.

Go get that mace Nyte. You'll love it :) And its pretty easy to get to - whenever you run out of charges on the +attack speed proc, you can go get a new one pretty easily :)

How's your alch comin btw Nyte? I have made friends with some enchanters, and trade them stacks of pots for enchants. Always nice to have a +5 / +7 damage blue glow on your new weapons.

That is kinda what I was figuring. Honestly I am just tired of DM. Maybe if my group would ever let my fire the cannon, but we always had someone pick the lock so.. no boom boom for Nyte.

I think I am doing ok on gear atm, although that might just be because decent stuff is only now dropping for me. I have a +3 Eagle Ring, and the Ring from DM which is +7Int +2 or 3 Agi. Have two chest peices, one for healing and one for feral. I have the staff, all my weapons that I actually use (staff, 2HM, and Dagger) are 15 or so DPS which is ok for now. That brings me to another question. Do you guys find it hard to keep all your weapon skills up? Most of my melee fighting has just been painfully boring. I barely use the forms because I'm trying to get weapon skillups. SHould I just let it go?

I'm set on rings for right now too. My bracers are the only really bad things I have, still white I think. Except for the no hat,no necklace thing. And the only trinket I have is the insignia of the alliance.

I haven't done a single quest in the Wetlands. Everything I've done has been in NE land up through Astranaar. And a couple quests in Westfall to get my chicken pet and other flavor items. What is there in Wetlands for me. I find it really ugly so I've been avoiding it since the initial IF run.

As for the Alch thing, I actually put it on hold a bit. I picked up enchanting and have been DE all the old equipment I've had and quest rewards I can't use. I've made probably 7-8 gold over the weekend since i picked it up just DE old stuff I have. I really want to get the Smoking Heart of the Mountain at some time, but thats a long way off. Another rare potion recipe dropped for me. ican't remember what it is right now, but it was another one that seems to sell well. It was a 150-recipe so I can't do anything with it anyways until my herb skill catches up.

I enjoy the feral aspect, but honestly I enjoy healing more. I am only feral specced for the climb. Then again, the 30/21 build seems to give me the best of both worlds, so I may end up trying that.

Easy way to get weapon skill up: go to nub starting point (ugh, I'm at a loss for the name...its east of SW). Bash any and all low lvl NPCs w/ your new weapon. I did that w/ my Crowd Pummeler (thx to Clar for the name). I leveled my 2H mace to 150 in about 15 minutes of bashing lvl 1-3 wolves and really ugly NPCs w/ candles on their heads.

One more note: when doing this, do not attack too many when there are a lot of nubs around. They need to lvl too.

Wetlands is great for one thing: XP. There are a lot of good quests there for your level, and a couple of them lead you on the way to southshore and arathi. Grinding murlocs gets tedious, but they net good xp, especially if you happen to find a mage that you can heal who just aoe's the &^#$ out of them. :)

Alchemy is a good prof to learn to be able to buff yourself, but the money maker is herbs. I would recommend keeping herbalism as a gathering profession - a LOT of the herbs gathered in wetlands while questing sell quite well in the AH. I was able to lvl my priest to 40, train all talents and buy her a mount all by selling herbs at lv 40. And I constantly bought her new stuff in the AH.

You are doing better than me so far on trinkets. I didn't get my first (insignia of the alliance) till lv 39 - I didn't pvp much - and just recently got my carrot on a stick. Healing is incredibly useful in instances, and as a druid, people are always willing to take you. People in IF are always looking for healers for Gnomer. Being a healer, look at natures focus whenever you can. That saved me a bunch early in the game, as I could get off a heal on someone else, then cast some rejuv and regrow on myself and run in as feral to help dps / tank, then back out and heal a couple more (70% uninterrupted heal = very nice when you have aggro on you) and go back to feral.
