We just killed razorgore and we are at the second dragon.

One thing lead to another and i got shoved into being the lead off tank for our attempts.

I went with 273fr 11700ac 15def and 7300ish hp.

Out of the 10 attempts we made with me lead tanking our best result was getting him to 4%.

What i was wondering is anyone know the sweet spot numbers u need for fr and ac on him. Tring to balance this out was a really big pain.

P.s just in case u are wondering we have a real shortage of warriors for some reason and alot of druids. So our druids are often called on for tanking duties.

Whether they are Druids or Warriors, take a minimum of 6 to Vael. Our best attempts (we've had him below 4% on several occasions, wiped at 1% twice now) have 6-8 tanks.

The downside with a druid in place of a warrior with a good 2Her is you're losing dps in the form of executes. I've never seen a Druid in a Vael tank rotation, but it's not unreasonable for them to start in cat for dps I assume.

I been starting off first in the tank rotation for him. U cant excute till he is below 20% so not lossing dps.

I've never tanked Vael, but yes you should start the rotation. As for FR just taking fire damage in there I noticed that I get a much better damage reduction when i go over 250 FR. Normally I'm 241, last time we fought Vael i brought some Juju embers and hit 156, i took much less damage and was last man standing for 3 attempts.

Minimum no of tanks is 4, not 6. But with only 4 it's pretty damn hard.

I am going to have to collect a few more pieces of fr gear for him. That will put me over 300fr with potion on next attempt.

I was thinking about getting a flask of the titians also. This would give me over 8600hp or damn close to it.
