Did anyone else have any problems updating to the 1.9 patch yesterday?

I had to manually download it.

When I did my original install and update less than a month ago I had no problems using the blizzard updater, but could not get it to update to 1.9.

I was finally able to upgrade last night and play for a bit :)

I was just curious if anyone else had problems

The last patch was very small. 1.9 is 70-odd megs.

I usually do the following:
1. Check some forums to see if anyone was kind enough to host the file.
2. Check for the bittorrent.
3. Check Fileplanet.
4. Let the Blizz updater run overnight.

Ever since I got bittorrent working I've never had to go the slow way - steps 3 or 4.

Same thing happened to me. I used to be able to use the Blizz fileloader, but always hated doing so as it suggested that I do some kind of third party hosting or something. Since it started doing that, I just went to fileshack or fileplanet, where I can dl at up to 300k/sec.

I had the same issue. Even had a kind guildie try and host it and that one was corrupt. I found a link that wasn't too overun and got the patch from there and turned around and hosted it on my site for others to get.

Then the hour or so of trying to get my mods to all play nice with the patch. Man I love patch days.

Ya yesterday was pretty bad. I downloaded with no problems but once i got in the problems started, and not just for me.

The lag at times was terrible. I was freezing up so often It was near un playable. There was some sort of stun bug happening also. We were in AB and whenever someone got stunned then killed they would bug and appear to be stunned for the entire match. On top of that if they tried to relog, when they came back in they would get hit with the new deserter debuff that they put in to cut down on the AFK'ing out. Which in my opinion will do nothing but promote game trading. I had heard that battle standards, when used, were causing some of the problems but I dont know that for a fact.

Also we had a group go to ZG and every time mobs, like berserkers, would aoe the entire raid would get disconnected.

I was having bad SOE flashbacks.

I normally check the worldofwarcraft forums and there is generally links to mirrors for the patch.

I downloaded yesterday from a mirror - waited about 15 minutes to start the download but I was able to download at a pretty fast speed.

If you cant down Beserkers before they thunderclap, they crash your whole raid. Hakkar is Unkillable. In MC, Bansished things become invincble, BUT STILL CAN ATTACK!

Yeah, having flashbacks to my days with SoE.
