if i have a weapon that has a chance to proc on hit, does it proc when in feral form?

No it doesn't, only stats affect you while in feral

The only form that Procs on a weapon work for are in Moonkin form. Like morrigar said, Cat,Bear, Angry Sea Lion, Cheetah do not work with procs.

Yea....I wondered that lately. I didn't think it did....but then my Green Whelp armor still puts things to sleep when I'm in animal forms. That got me thinking maybe I was wrong and it did proc in feral forms. Thanks for the discussion.

It seems the defensive chance on hit proc work in feral forms, just not offensive

As Nyte said somewhere else,

Chance when hit proccs when you are in feral forms. i.e when you are hit as a bear, your target has a chance to be put to sleep for 30sec with the green whelp armor. Or when you are hit in bear form, your Mark of the Chosen trinket has a chance to increase all stats by 25.

Chanceon hit procs only when you hit the mob with your weapon, not paw / claw / hand. i.e. there is a chance that upon hitting a mob with your firey weapon, they will catch fire. Note that your paws are not on fire.

... though that would be cool. Kitty with flaming paws :O
