Tell me what you guys think...

You've been playing since launch. You have 3 60s, not one of those toons were serious into endgame, just a distant dream. You never joined succsessful guilds. But now, your third 60, wants to go further - into the end game.

But wait... you want to find a good guild, you can join guild A which has been doing MC for awhile, and has killed Rag, killed Nef, and is familiar with it all. (Everyone already will have 9x more DKP than you)

Or you can join Guild B. Just started running the Core, new guys, but a good bunch. (DKP will not be too high, so I can pretty much get what I need)

But wait... it gets worse

I'm a feral druid...

What do you guys think of my dilema?

Any feedback is great Thanks

Not really much of a dilema for you I'de say. You're feral sure, but are you willing to heal when it is requested? And do you have a 2nd set of gear specifically for casting? If so then you shouldn't have any problems. You are still capable of healing, and as long as the guild doesn't expect you to be a primary healer they shouldn't hold it against you.

And as for deciding which to join, flip a coin. Either way works out for you. If you join a more experienced guild heck, you might have more chances at gear as your fellow Druids may already be equipped, defaulting what they would normally DE to you. If you join a guild new to MC then you build DKP up with the rest of them since it would still be fairly low, and you have just as much of a shot at what you need than anyone else. And also you establish your raid position within said guild if you've been with them in the Core from the start and they know your capabilities.

Thanks for the reply, but one quick question, which set of gear for back up healing would you recommend as a feral druid? Should I go with wildheart?

Thanks a lot again for the reply

Look at the thread two above this one.

Apparently the best healing gear comes from a hodgepodge of DM gear.

Guild A might be the better choice since most peole will have gear, so default it might go to you for cheap'o DKP. Also they might enjoy the humor value and let you actually go feral.

Guild B might pressure you to heal more as they learn how to do what.

I was in a similiar situation (I bought WoW in April and didn't really even play it till July)... so I had the choice between joining 'the' horde guild on the server or helping to establish a guild... I went with the later myself (I got no problem with healing). True enough if I went Spite I'd be porb all Stormrage atm, but I wanted to be there for the learning... and I feel more accomplished as we go into our first Domo' attempt this weekend.

The only big downside I see to joining a guild new to MC, and I have experienced this myself, is that MC can make or break a guild. I was in a guild that pushed to Garr, but was stonewalled on Baron Geddon. It's fun and easy to say that it is all about the learning experience, but some people do not like taking a step backwards when you take many steps forward. Due to the problem with Geddon in MC, the guild I used to be in ended up taking a drastic step backwards when the core raiding force began to diminish and join up with other guilds that were making more progress. Sadly I ended being one of those people who left.
