im sure its been debated but i havent been able to find it
im currently full healing spec druid but im getting frustrated trying to grind out levels and i enjoy pvp aswell

im wondering how effective the 20% increased intellect compares to say the 10% increased effectiveness of healing touch and the increased critical chance of rejuv

there also the problem of not having natures swiftness and innervate, but in my experiance i have never had to use them in an instance

im looking at a 31-20 feral/resto spec tree (i also enjoy lotp)

any suggestions or info would help

I can't read your proposed build, as I'm behind a firewall.

HOTW is the greatest druid talent, hands down. Feral druids can now heal superbly b/c of the huge mana pool they have.

Not as efficient as Innervate Druids, but yeah, the larger mana pool is very kewl. A guild mate of mine has about ~9000 with AI and MotW.

Innverate/Restore = Really awesome healer. 5 man groups can depend on you. You can slack off and almost waste mana and not let them down.

HoTW = Pretty good healer with better pvp options. In a 5 man it will take a little more concentration and smart healing but it can be done.

If doing endgame raiding I suggest heavy restoration with innervate.

If doing pvp I would suggest one of the feral builds or the 30/21.

BRD 5-man will tests the limits of what a feral druid can heal solo. With pally/shaman backup it's fine. I'm talking about a feral druid with a full set of int/spi/sta gear.

I am feral spec and im currently doing mc runs where my role is healing full time (and thats ok hehe). I only have two pieces of Cenarion so far, Chest and Bracers that both still need enchants, and I am sitting right at 8k mana fully buffed. I also have two crap rings that need upgraded bad.

So far I have been in the top 6 for healing and thats with 4 preists, 4 druids,(other 3 druids are resto) and 4-6 pallies. Each run I go through about 10-15 superior mana pots, that I make myself, but from what I gather so do all the others.

My opinion is that as a feral spec you will never be as efficient of a healer as a resto spec because of things like NS, imp rejuv, innervate, and crit chance, however you can heal quite well. since changing my spec from 9/11/31 to 14/32/5 I havent missed NS or Innervate at all and I havent had any problems with healing.

I can say however that since changing specs I have more fun while pvp'ing and my mates like the 3% to crit they get whenever we are grouped up.

Doing lots of different stuff in the game- go feral

Doing just instances and all you ever do is healing - go heavy restore (45+ points)

If you're already well geared (Cenarion+), you can heal quite effectively still in MC. In BWL, that changes past Razorgore.

On Vael and clearing to Broodlord (healing mages), Regrowth is your staple spell and losing the crit hurts. Broodlord itself, and Firemaw that follow are longer fights, so missing Reflection and improved healing efficiency (including Imp Rejuv) also hurt. If you're willing to chug Major Mana Pots, you may not have too much difficulty - but your raid will suffer a bit by losing the Innervate-Priest option.

This is speaking from the perspective of someone with 7/8 Cen and 4/8 SR. If you and your raid's Priests are newer to MC, losing Innervate will be notable in almost every boss fight. As will losing crit Regrowth while clearing the Elemental/Reaver packs. Currently, I use HT rank 6/7 in MC, and only use Rank 10 in combination with NS (and usually for self-heal).
