Hey all,

Out of curiousity, has anyone found out if the 2% crit bonus from using the Elemental sharpening stone affects overall crit rate, and NOT just the weapon...thus benefitting feral form?

I am assuming of course that the temporary enchant is like a stat enchant on a weapon, of which we get the benefit in Feral.

I can't think of any temporary boosts we get in feral. Weigthing stones for example don't effect our damage, and alchemy oils won't proc.

yea...but those effect the weapon damage and procs....i think elemental stones affect your actual crit rate when the weapon is equiped, so it should in fact work in feral forms

I doubt it, I mean the theory is you used that stone to make that particular weapon sharper right? I don't think it would carry over to other attack forms, or in the case of other classes weapons in the other hand.

i will test it tonight if i get the chance..but I am pretty sure is just changes your crit % overall when the weapon is equiped

Wow, if this is the case, I need to stock up on them. Where do I get them, who makes them and what are the mats needed? These seem like an invaluable tool, especially if they can be combined with elixer of the mongoose and elixer of greater agility. Cat Crit rate will be close to 30% :O

test complete....it does in fact add 2% when the weapon is held in cat form....just a passive effect.

They arent to bad to make..just got to know/find someone with the pattern from MC

Very interesting...

its just a simple stat increase...hence why it works...

where as sharpening stones effect the "weapon's" damage, and the alchemy potion add a proc to the weapon swings.

But the stones just add +2% crit, so its like a stat on any other weapon.

Do you have a mod to show your crit percentage or something? You couldn't have possibly performed an empirical test to determine a 2% difference. You would have to track the results of thousands of attacks to develop a statistically significant sample set to see such a small increase.

Please describe your methodology if you tested on your own, please name the mod if you are relying on a computer program to guess whether Bliz actually gives you the benefit or not.

You can just open up your spell book and put your cursor over the "attack" symbol in general. It will tell you your crit. In my feral suit I'm up to 28.25% in forms with only unimp mark

Oh, I did not know that, thanks for the knowledge.
