Raptors should be quadded if you are a druid not charmed. It isn't too hard once you get the hang of it. The hardest part is getting used to their HUGE aggro radius. They are good exp for me and I am at 55, I have heard that you can get to 60 on them.

I'm 59 and most of the raptors con light blue, even the vicious. They're good to 58 but after that, it slows down ALOT.

Charm Kiting is decent way to get xp, I don't know why you say otherwise... it's nice for those of us who might get a spike of lag due to no Cable or DSL access... I charm solo large and small islands at once using vicious raptors as pets and if pet is too low just using swarm charming (break charm w/ hide and charm other mob that is higher life to kill old pet who is low life). It works very well. Main thing is, get KEI, zone into TD, egress... put shore on your left and start running... Chessboard will be to your right and you'll run out over ocean (SoE is huge plus here), then check tracking... small isle is left most of isles w/ raptors, I suggest starting out there. Good luck =)

I doubt it...you'll have plenty of time enough to do raptors when you get older...I did spirocs until 51/52.

And I would switch from raptors to otters at 58 since you get the new quad spell then.

I spent a ton of time both quadding and charming the raptors - I found the charm method to be far superior to quadding. With that said, my measurement method for determining what "far superior" means is a bit flimsy to say the least :) . All that I know is that when quadding I could quad a set, sit and med (maybe long enough for a repop), sit and med, etc. When I switched to charm soloing (using a vicious), I could easily clear the entire large island in one shot - I was almost constantly killing. Had both islands been empty, I'm sure I could have kept all of the raptors dead on a cycle. So - my assumption is that the constant killing (rather than the quad-med-quad-med method) must have equated to better XP. And even if it didn't, charming was a helluva lot more fun than quadding :) .
