Re: I'm home!!!!

Without getting into any other details (if you like quadding, root/rot, reverse charming, grouping, etc), my first advice would be to hit the hot zones. You can look them up on ZAM, but also, just go talk to Franklin Teek, in PoK right across from the Guild Lobby zone line. He gives quests for the h...

Re: Trade skills

I have also been working on my tradeskills, off and on, over the last few months. Have tailoring (271), smithing (265), and fletching (251) left. Those guides are invaluable, the ones at EQT. Though I have found, once you know what you need to get, the boards at Allakhazam's are very good for helpin...

Re: My AA purchase order

There's no "wasting", the AA XP boost is linear. At 0 AA, you get a 1000% bonus, and at 4000 AA (and above) you get 0% bonus.

So at 800 AA, you're getting roughly an 800% bonus.

lower level tip for new members

If you're looking for more tips for lower level content, you may find interesting information in the archives of the old Druid's Grove forums. Go to http://thedruidsgrove.org/ and then select EQ archives, and you can look around and see if you find anything useful. Unfortunately, I haven't found a w...

Re: Sand Eroded Shell -Pet Haste clicky

I've had one for years, but never use it. If you swarm charm, your "pet" dies so quick anyway, it's not worth using the haste.

Now, if you're in a group, and trying to keep the pet for a while, then that's a different story, and this would be a nice item to have.

Re: Shawl Quest(s)

Yeah, that guide on EQTraders is invaluable. I've started working on tradeskills, after a VERY long hiatus (got them all to ~200 when the first shawl quest went active, back around 2002). I'm also considering pursuing the 2nd shawl, but UF is not soloable, so I'll need a plan for the drops there. I'...

Re: Quad Kiting for Beginners [Lower Level primarily]

LOL, OK, thought of a few more things: 1 - Don't bother with quadding til at least the 50s. I really think red cons with a tank merc, 1 at a time, may be faster. Compare and see. 2 - You can pair up effectively with another druid, or a wiz, and do this, I have. And now that they have wizzy mercs wit...

Re: Quad Kiting for Beginners [Lower Level primarily]

Couple more tips: 1 - Careful with the mount. The delayed stop/start makes it take longer to actually get your casts off. If you don't need the medding to get them finished, then don't use the horse. Just get them done quick, and then use OOC regen (WAY faster than a horse) to get ready for the next...
