Re: The Republican philosophy in action
Because those 3% are smarter than the other 97%, yet they give the 97% a job. Except that the graph at the beginning of this thread, and many many other studies show that they don't. Really? On the graph it says ExxonMobil employs 80,000 people, and that's just one company. How many poor people do ...

and their personal income tax rate is irrelevant. Tudamorf, when 40 pct of the population collectively owns about 0.1 of privately held property then there is a problem, same as when 10pct of the populations collectively owns more of the private property than the other 90pct combined. And even more...

My .. you managed to read the exact opposite of what I actually said. I am sure that took some mental gymnastics.Tudamorf wrote:So by your definition, Auschwitz wasn't a "concentration camp" until they started killing the inhabitants

Re: Internment VS Concentration Camps
Concentration camps were (at least in recent history) a british invention. During the boeren war in South Africa they rounded up and locked up the civilian population in camps, both as hostages and as an attempt to reduce the guerilla attacks by the boeren against their forces. As such Tudamorf is c...

Re: The US Debt and where it came from
Fair enough, Tudamorf. Those are rates(delta change) numbers. Not actual production numbers, of course. But those numbers and graph is misleading(they are delta). The image projects a baseline. Those increases above the 0 are still making up the losses from 2008. We are still below the GDP of 2006 ...

Now imagine if you will, that the man that you just started this fight with, spends tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars on you every year. Feeding you, clothing you, feeding your fucking brats, buying you clothes and jewelry, bought your cars. Paying for your pedicures and all the other things...

Re: The US Debt and where it came from
"Reagan proved deficits don't matter" - Dick Cheney (Except when there's a Democrat in the White House, and particularly when he isn't white.) Cheney was of course misrepresenting things when he said that (though in his mind he was entirely truthful). Reagan's re-election proved that the ...

Re: You Feminists still think like this?
Perhaps some women prefer brains over looks, so they marry well-educated men. Well-educated men tend to make more money than their less well-educated counterparts. That could be another explanation of why female doctors tend to not marry nurses. Then again, I think men tend to be a bit intimidated ...
