What? Argentina has a tax rate of 108.2%? How does anyone stay in business?

Corporate tax is only on profit.

For those who are informercially challenged, that's only the part after all other expenses and costs.

If I tax 108% of your profits, then not only am I taking all of your profits, I'm charging you an extra 8%. So even if you run a non-profit (most people won't), you're going to go out of business unless you infuse that 8% from an outside source every year.

Or if you can cook the books so it looks like you are operating at a loss and thus are not required to pay any tax at all.
As any halfway competent accountant will arrange for you.
