Marriage At its Finest

Post by Fyyr »

"There are no words that can possibly express how we feel," Randy and Amy Loughner wrote in a statement handed to reporters waiting outside their house. "We wish that there were, so we could make you feel better. We don't understand why this happened.

I don't think his parents encouraged him to assassinate a member of Congress -- at least, I've seen no evidence of it.

However, the tea party nutjobs do so on a regular basis, and target their hate speech towards people like this who are most susceptible to it.

You don't have to physically meet the leaders of a terrorist organization to become one yourself.

And that's what they are, terrorists.

There's a difference between fearing people who intend to do you harm, and fearing people just because they're different.

So, it's ok then to rationalize your fear and hate of other people?

Are you purposely being obtuse here? Or is this just libertarian black-and-white syndrome at work?

Just because fear-mongering is bad, doesn't mean the emotion of fear should be eliminated from the human race.

You're being hypocritical.
And you don't know it, or acknowledge it.
There is nothing obtuse about that observation.

Are you unable to grasp the difference between fearing something yourself, and trying to make other people fear it?
