I moved from that one to Rod of the Sleepwalker from BFD, but I can't remember which level I was then.

I agree. I'm guessing that since you are using the emberstone you are alliance so the Rod of the Sleepwalker is a great upgrade for a caster staff and not difficult to get. +11 Int +10 Spi. Great all around, but especially great for when you are feral specced but are healing. Nice mana boost and nice regen boost as well. After that, all the other posts suggest the Illusionary rod from SM. So I'm guessing the Rod of the Sleepwalker will carry you to 35 or so.

As for which is better 2HM or Staff. It depends on the situation. Usually staffs have better caster stats and maces have better feral stats (although not always the case) so get both and change when the situation changes. I like "of the gorilla" maces because it gives strength for feral power and has the +int for when I have to emergency heal or for making weapon skill ups easier. Others prefer "of the bear" or for strength and stamina or "of the monkey" for agility and stamina or even "of the tiger" for agility and strength. Still others don't even bother, they just use what they get and replace things as they come.

If you really want to get the most stats for you level then Rod of the Sleepwalker is probably the best way to go as far as caster stats are concerned.

To be honest though, it really doesn't matter much at your level. I mean yeah it will help but save for the mana to heal in parties (which at that level there really is only so much partying you will do) its not going to matter much. If you run with a regular friend or 2 and you typically heal them or you just like to nuke a lot, then get a good INT setup.

If you are going to solo more, then just grab some nice "of the bear" staff or mace off the AH if you can since the easiest way to solo is in bear.

Between nature's grasp, roots, hibernate and bear form (bash) you can fairly easily grind 3-4 beast type mobs at a time. But to do that you going to some stamina.

Druid was my first toon on WoW and I was completely clueless at first as to getting gear based on stats and what have you. And really it didn't hinder me much at all comparing to now leveling new toons with a gear minded approach. Low levels just don't really matter. Bear form's innate AP and armor is pretty much all you need right now.

I guess I should note though that at level 26 I met a priest who would become a long time WoW friend, so I really wasn't healing all that much.

Rod of the Sleepwalker has lasted me till 37 so far ( though I'm looking to upgrade now ) so it will definitely be a good drop from BFD for you. Can't recommend that instance enough. Just don't step on all the damn candles at once ok? Had a party member do that and it sure wasn't pretty.

Wow, same thing happened to me too. On the same server too. I was sleeping turtles while the group was getting the others. Next thing I new we were all dead and the room was full of mobs. I didn't even know what happened until the rogue said "sorry guys I was in a hurry and I thought we could handle it". I don't care how good you are, no one is going to outheal 7-8 elites that pop up at once,
