I spent about 8 hours camping in Noble's Causeway for this item. Thanks to my group for going to the back end of nowhere to get this for me! We had a 70 warrior, 70 cleric, 70 enchanter, 67 druid (me) and a 69 mage joined us for the last few hours. :wavey:

The waistcoat drops from "a massive bazu" in Noble's Causeway. Yellow to level 67. The natural habitat for this beastie is in the SE area of NC, most easily accessed through the canyon opposite the second bridge on the way to WoS from DS. BTW, that canyon is seemingly permacamped by chanter-cleric duos farming runes ("an ukun packmaster" and "Pixt Arreand Bodybender" spawn at that camp, but that's a subject for a different post). Kinda handy for crack and symbol requests if you're soloing  .

Anyway, camp site is on the east wall of the zone at about neg 650, neg 1320. Seemingly any mob in that area can spawn seeing invis - so be careful. There are three "a battle-scarred bazu" near that wall. Those bazu are the PHs. No place in that camp is entirely safe; you'll either be in the path of a wanderer, or within aggro range of a static spawn point.

I have personally seen the 'a massive bazu' spawn from the north wandering bazu, the middle static bazu, and the south wandering bazu. Not that it matters, but the waistcoat itself dropped from the one that spawned in the south spawn. He's snareable/rootable, I don't recall him summoning, and he runs when loh. I suppose you could solo him, but he does quad for almost 1k.

While you're there, you may as well camp "a feran bull" as well. He spawns from either of the two spawn points at a small ledge just across the canyon from the wall (a two-spawn ledge, you can't miss it). His drops are awful (unremarkable 2HB: Redhorn Mace (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70128)(rare) and caster range item: Blazing Fire Crystal (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70121)), but runes are a possibility. Also, the "a stalking feran" in the area can all drop Dark Enchanted Scrolls for the WoS port.

During the course of 8 excruciating hours, the 'a massive bazu' spawned only three times, first in middle static spawn, then in north spawn, and finally in south spawn ('a feran bull' spawned thrice as well). First time he dropped Mossflow Ring (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70135) and a Muramite Rune, second time he dropped a Lesser Muramite Rune and Duskfall Chronicles, and the third time he dropped a Muramite Rune and the waistcoat $$. A few nights before, I was soloing in NC and I saw him up. A roving chanter/cleric duo killed him and said he dropped the Mossflow Ring, so it's possible that the ring is his common.

I hope this will help my fellow druids get their hands on a relatively simple Improved Healing 5 type focus! I know the greenvale arms (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70777) have IH5, but at least with this item you get FT1, an extra 5% benefit to the focus, and you don't need the faction and three items to get it.

Greenvale arms only have IHV (15%), that belt has Boon of the Pious (same as cleric tier 1 arms, 20%).

/e points down to his post a week ago with 350 views.

I didn't realize at the time the roamers could also spawn the named bazu, but I never did get him to spawn while I had help there. I always just solo killed the bazu Ph and the feran bull Ph, and grabbed the first available tank to come duo the massive when he decided to show. Feran bull is only L65 and pretty much soloable, but Massive Bazu is L68, hits pretty darn hard, and procs a -150 resist root, so wasn't anywhere in my solo boundaries. No problems duoing him tho, with just a random tank.

There is a safe spot there also, the roaming feran does not come all the way to the end of the ravine that opens to where the static bazu spawn is, you can sit by the rock in the bottom there perfectly safely.

I did a search for "Silverine" and only got a question as to where the waistcoat dropped. Hopefully, both your post and mine will help people get these items, Pinepath.

Oh, and i'm not sure what safe rock you're talking about, but I seem to recall there being four murkglider stalkers hanging around the rocks flanking the static bazu. Well, I certainly hope there's a safe spot, for future campers.

Pinepath's post. (http://thedruidsgrove.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9980)

He was yellow to me at 66 when I saw him on track camping Packmaster/Pixt. While we were there (Enchie, Mage, me) I only saw him up once and we were there for the majority of 2 days. Possibly no one was camping him at the time.

Btw, Packmaster/Pixt = Great rune camp. 4 runes each only counting when I was there. 1 rune for a random person. Foresight Sash (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70146), Drakescale Shield (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70147) x2, Citrine (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=72700), and 1 Discordant Scoriae (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=72086).

There are three "a battle-scarred bazu" near that wall. Those bazu are the PHs. No place in that camp is entirely safe; you'll either be in the path of a wanderer, or within aggro range of a static spawn point.
Between the two wandering Bazu there is a static feran. Just south of him is a LARGE stone at the wall. Few steps south of this is safe spot. South wandering bazu never comes close eneough to aggro and you're far eneough from the feran. There's actually eneough room there to fight without any possibility of adds, so that we've always set up camp there.

What you can do is kill ph's for 5 different nameds before repop:
a massive bazu (3 ph)
a feran bull (2 ph)
named dragorn inside house at the very south end (single ph solo pullable with help of harmony)
ukun packmaster
pixxt bodybender

and the static feran just north of your camp spot to pull the bazu / feran phs.

Requires constant moving / invising, but easily doable.

I quit trying when I got up to 9 Mossflow Rings and 2 Duskfall Chronicles from a massive headach.. bazu.

Reviving this, because well, its a nice waist item~ just wanted to say its duoable.

70 Bard (500ish AA)
70 Pally (my main <200 aa's)

Very easy kill...

And the waist item is an awesome item for druids that don't raid.
