Free ideas for coolio new stuff in MMOG's like EQ LDoN.

1. Have levels in the dungeon...now zoning to level 2. You have an additional 30 minutes. You could find secret doors, etc. I rember some ancient games that were dungeon crawls and it was quite exciting to zone to a new level down in the depths and see what kind of new foes and challanges awaited.

Make them small but intense. Keep a team creating new ones and patching them. Yes it will cost a few grand, so freakin what it will make the game a ledgend.

2. Create a type of guild hall/ great castle for the W Bros. After all they seem to be a bit to rich to be hanging out in a field. Then when you choose an adventure you take one of many long corridors to zone into your instance or a staging area. Make sure to add some corridors for later expansion.

3. Patch more variablity into the instances. The heck with people need for stability. In the middle of a collection adventure spawn a boss vamp that charms and abducts a member of your party and zones into a secret door leading to his castle in the clouds.
After winning a particularly great battle an instant event could be meeting a friendly dragon that rewards each party member with a piece of loot of their choice and a ride back to the W Bros camp. How cool would that be.

4. Instance only loot. Instance meetings with NPC's or objects that provide assistance to the party in the form of loot that lasts for the duration of the adventure and can only work inside the zone. This could also be used for naked adventures...you could show up with no equipment and be fully outfitted and have an appropriate challange and reward adventure.

5. Have the concept of a Page in the bank. When your character reaches level 46, or 60, or 65 (whatever) have a series of slots that correspond to your gear. then by pressing a button you could outfit it (swap out). This could provide an easy way to swap out to resist gear or formal wear. (Yes that is a lot of bank slots). It is similar to the swapping in spell lists.

6. Instanced pvp and guild war. Rather than a group of six or a guild it is a competition against a group or guild. Two groups may battle to capture the flag or battle to the death. Perhaps two groups race to get to a room joined to the other groups path and save the day.
